Love the place. Friendly staff. Breakfast was so good with variaties of food. Walking distance to the famous Padang Kota, Pinang Peranakan Mansion, Penang Street Arts, Little India and more. Will be my first choice of hotel while in Penang.

Have spent 14 nights at hotel checking out this morning.
Hotel location good.
Whole experience spoiled by attitude of reception staff when asked if room could be supplied with an armchair instead of a narrow chaise. Staff treated this request in a very offhand and dismissive manner. We felt that no effort was made to assist us with the issue. The only chair offered was a basic dining chair.
The manner of the staff when dealing with this issue we feel fell short of expectations and perceptions of a hotel of this standard.

The room is very nicely decorated, with highend marble floor and tiles, it really makes it look luxurious. Spotlessly clean, sufficient lighting, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and hot shower, separate toilet for those more than 1 pax staying would be convenient. Only thing that disappointed me was the view, it is virtually none, and I think its about time the management spend some money to clean the outer part of the window although it has no view. Location is so so, right in front of pier, but the nearest eateries are about 1km away, consider short walk for those who are able.

I've stayed here for almost every month since the last 2 years as it is near to my office. However the service given especially by the reception is getting poorer (especially by an indian lady manning the main counter). Sometimes I do ask whether I can park at the Lobby since I'm driving a huge SUV, but the answer was so rude from the Indian lady and a malay bell boy. If they talk to me politely I would understand the situation, because I'm just trying my luck since the parking space provided are so narrow, hence it is so difficult for me to get out from my car. But the attitude are unacceptable. Since that incident, I no longer feel the atmosphere there are healthy

Great location, surrounded by heritage buildings, which I believe the hotel building itself is one of it. Good service from Front desk and Concierge. Hotel room is fantastic, clean and neat. The hotel bar lounge look great in atmosphere though I dont have a chance to drop by this round

As such, the heritage building was restored to its former glory in order to maintain the structure and interior of the building and to preserve its natural heritage.
