It's a very comfortable hotel. The staff is very friendly and nice. The breakfast is very generous. At last, the bed is very big and we slept very well. In our opinion, you have to book a room in this hotel

Review of Royale Chulan Penang

One night stay. The room was nice, clean with a large bed. Free parking and nice reception. Our room faces the jetty. Nice view. Located in Georgetown so you dont have to travel far for food and other attractions in Penang.
Cons. Leaking shower head, water from shower flows into the room, shower drain clogged.
Maybe it was not my luck to get that room. I want to complaint but for a one night stay, not worth the fuss.
But overall a nice hotel.👍

With George Town being in the core zone of the UNESCO Heritage Site, it has a lot to offer, from food and to other historic landmarks, just a stone throw away from the hotel. The deluxe room with pool view was comfy, clean and big to stay in throughout my 3 nights. The hotel staff from the bellboys, concierge, receptionists, cafe staff, security guards and cleaners were polite and professional. I like that the bathroom has conveniently separated the toilet and shower area with doors. But I hope the hotel can consider installing another power socket beside the beds so that 2 person can play on their devices in bed and charge their devices concurrently. I enjoyed my stay.

The hotel service and facilities were good. Location are great and walking distance to Penang eateries, museums and attractions. The parking is quiet a challenge during peak season. Pool was just okay. Hotel interior is nice and luxurious. Overall i can give good rating if not because of bed mites bite on my kids. My 5yo son was infected and been itching all day, while my 18 months baby get it before checking out. It spoiled our holiday since the kids were cranky. Hope they can clean and sanitise the bed thoroughly for others.

We are also happy that you found the location of our hotel convenient during your stay and hope you had the time to visit the nearby heritage trails. We would like to extend our apologies for the inconvenience you had to face during your stay here with us. For your information, the hotel carries out monthly pest control exercise in our endeavour to maintain a pest free environment and our housekeeping team also has a routine daily schedule to clean all rooms and change the bed sheets. Nevertheless, we have informed the Executive Housekeeper to thoroughly check all rooms again to ensure no other guests will face any similar issues.
