Heritage building, for a real George Town experience & great service and facilities at really good value - we had 2 rooms for family of 4 - 2 teens & came in best rate when we were searching, for quality midrange hotel with pool & gym in George Town. Room was lovely with views of sea.
All staff were lovely and hard working.

The Royal Chulan. The website and pics look great yeah? Well, it isn’t. As the hotel is seeking a halal certification, there are no bars, there is a no alcohol policy. This little gem of information is not shared on their website nor prior to booking.
I have stayed, dined in, and even had my wedding reception at this hotel. The service was impeccable; the staff were friendly and accommodating; the location is great. A hotel that caters to everyone, without losing its charm. I will certainly return.
This hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming . Besides, the service is very satisfying . Perhaps, the room is comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Happy stomach 🤣. This hotel location is very convenient , that save time and petrol . Best stay for those wants to round near Georgetown areas . Happy holiday experience 🤪

The sound proof is terrible. Too noisy. Water pipe flowing sound keeps continue, day and night. Can hardly sleep at night. Gym equipment needs to be improved, the treadmill equipment is not stable, shaking badly. The washroom has to provide maintenance, wet bathroom without able to identify where’s the water comes from.
