Food and stays is ok. Nothing exceptional.
Bad front desk experience by Joelvester.
I had an issue with parking tickets and was handled by a trainer. Trainer asked me to wait coz he need to check with the manager for alternative and Joel who is next was rudely interfered and harshly loudly tapped on the acrylic display on ticket info, while his eyes looking elsewhere.
Told him he was rude and no apologise was given.

Welcomed by the always smiling Devika at the reception. Check-in was a breeze. Free flow of welcome drinks.
The facade was great for a historical building. Room was spacious and comfortable. Air conditioning was good.
Breakfast was good with a good spread. Kudos to the staff who did the teh tarik on 30th Sept. It was perfect.
The best thing about this hotel is its strategic location. Walking distance to most tourist destinations.
Zuri provided us with good tips and recommendations for sight seeing and eateries.
Overall had a great stay thanks to the polite, friendly and attentive staffs.

We were here from 28 sept- 1st October 2024.
The hotel staff were efficient and friendly. Big shoutout to front office staff Devika and bellboy Zuri. The rooms were spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. Oh, I loved their toiletries. The breakfast spread was good and food was tasty. A must try is their roti canai. We will be back for sure. Loved the colonial feel of the hotel. A good value for money. Good job to the staffs of Royale Chulan Penang. ❤️❤️❤️

Wonderful hotel, excellent service and perfectly located for exploring Georgetown. Cannot fault the value for money and if you are staying in 4 star hotel then this hits the mark and standard expected. Stayed for just one night but the rooms were spacious and clean, good selection for breakfast and staff very welcoming. Very nicely located for Fort Cornwallis, the promenade and walking distances to the main historical and cultural sites of Georgetown. Would recommend.
