We stayed in the Executive Room. My overall experience of the hotel was good. There were a few issues that they could be fixed rather easily. First of all, once you parked your car in the basement car park and take the elevator to the Ground Floor, there isn't any sign or clear direction to the front office. The Ground Floor were separated into a few sections, so it took us a while to find the front office. Secondly, the bathtub wasn't even, the tub was shaking when I was trying to get in it. Lastly, the design of the bathtub wasn't good as the water flooded the bathroom when the shower head was put on the stand.

This hotel is just 4 months ago and could very well be the best in Penang. Situated just behind Gurney Plaza, it is in the center of the new part of George Town.

The exterior is very visually distinct and the interior is subtle and modern. The black and gold lobby feels very airy, and lack of furniture actually compliments the simple layout. There are no computers or piles of paper at reception, everything is hidden away.

The room is mixture of grey and wooden tones, again, simple and well thoughout. The downside is that it is situationed a bit back from the beach, so you won't get the beach view that the other G hotel has. The non-alcoholoic mini bar is complimentary.

Overall, the design, location and service all meets my expectations, it is large enough to have all the facilities, but small enough to be almost boutique.

Looking forward to coming back to Baby G soon.

Nice hotel and good location, excellent person. Shalene front desk executive was very helpful in any information that I needed. She went above and beyond normal expectations to make sure that everything I needed was taken care of properly. G hotel should be proud of such an excellent staff person.

Gorgeous room, wonderful, friendly staff, enjoyable breakfast, nice location. And the air conditioning works ..... as it should but
more often than not it doesn't. We really enjoyed our stay and felt very welcomed by all. Georgetown is a great destination and this hotel is a great choice.

Went in May 2015 for a business course.. Booked for G Hotel Gurney but got bumped up to G Kelawai... I'd usually be sulking at this sudden change of plans, as am always a planner... but this is ONE time i ended up BEAMING with glee... Located just posterior of G Gurney, this secluded but cosy hotel charmed me right as i stepped through its front doors.. Pleasant and helpful staff.. stayed in the premium executive deluxe.. one ward; CLASSY. Great amenities and an AMAZING bed to boot... a real comfort after a whole day of sitting in stiff chairs... A great workspace with excellent WiFi connection..

Only wish the breakfast spread was more variable... 3 days straight with hardly much changes on the menu... nonetheless, i'd had enough for a hearty breakfast to get me going...

Well done, and would definitely recommend to any who wish to truly relax and enjoy a touch of class in Penang...
