As a Penangite my family and I often take staycations within Penang just to relax and wind down. After spent much time at Batu Ferringhi area we thought would be fun to revisit the heart of Penang; Georgetown.
We chose The Wembley because of its ideal location, at the centre of Georgetown, many of the attractions are within walking distance. Komtar, Gama and New lane for food.
The initial experience wasn’t good as our check in was delayed to about 4pm and the room aircon was broken. However, the staffs were helpful and prompt to rectify the problem, by changing our room. After that, all were well.
The size of the deluxe room and it’s toilet were good, clean and new. The bed was firm and comfortable. The tv reception could do some improvement though. The toilet amenities were more than adequate and complete. But the internet speed and reception was less than ideal.
The breakfast wasn’t the greatest but was acceptable. The selection was ok but the taste was average. Some of the food were too cold for my liking. But the breakfast staffs were friendly, polite and helpful.
Overall, considering the price and the pleasant experience we had, we are likely to go back and would recommend to our friends. The internet speed and tv reception could improve though. More
