The location was great for us to walk around and explore nearby shopping malls and reach areas like Little India and Gurney Walk in a matter of 15 minutes via Grab. We could also take walks to nearby night markets and shops to try the street food and Nasi Kandar, which was great!
However, these are our gripes with the experience:
1. Rooms are cleaned on alternate days, so you'd have to call housekeeping should you run out of amenities
2. The beds weren't the most comfortable, because the pillows were rather thin and so couldn't support our necks that well.
3. We opted for breakfast at the hotel, and for the week we stayed at the hotel the food options were the same. You can imagine how sick we were by the last day.
4. At breakfast, the food is also not replenished actively and so we had to give up on trying a number of dishes because we simply weren't ready to waste time waiting
5. While there were Malay, Chinese, and Western fare available at the hotel breakfast, Indian food options weren't there at all. If we wanted a roti canai, we had to walk out for a quick fix.
While the rooms were also smaller than we expected, we appreciate the staff who took our request for adjourning rooms into account. Overall this was a pleasant experience, but we'd recommend skipping the hotel breakfast unless you're going there for a very short trip.
