The location was great for us to walk around and explore nearby shopping malls and reach areas like Little India and Gurney Walk in a matter of 15 minutes via Grab. We could also take walks to nearby night markets and shops to try the street food and Nasi Kandar, which was great!

However, these are our gripes with the experience:

1. Rooms are cleaned on alternate days, so you'd have to call housekeeping should you run out of amenities
2. The beds weren't the most comfortable, because the pillows were rather thin and so couldn't support our necks that well.
3. We opted for breakfast at the hotel, and for the week we stayed at the hotel the food options were the same. You can imagine how sick we were by the last day.
4. At breakfast, the food is also not replenished actively and so we had to give up on trying a number of dishes because we simply weren't ready to waste time waiting
5. While there were Malay, Chinese, and Western fare available at the hotel breakfast, Indian food options weren't there at all. If we wanted a roti canai, we had to walk out for a quick fix.

While the rooms were also smaller than we expected, we appreciate the staff who took our request for adjourning rooms into account. Overall this was a pleasant experience, but we'd recommend skipping the hotel breakfast unless you're going there for a very short trip.

Really hotel service is normal but hotel has his own Health Centre and gives a voucher. I was trying to make appointment, but doors were closed. And !!!! when I staying and waiting near the door, stuff had seen me at least 3 times, but nobody open the door and nobody explained me nothing. Even,if they have a full booking, such impolite behaviour to potential clients is terrible. Don't use this service. Go outside the hotel, it will be chipper, and better, than in centre, which one propose the hotel.

Good location with most local eateries within walking distance.
Carpark well lit and free.
Check-in slow but courteous staff.
Room is clean and well equipped with toiletries and drinking water (2 bottles).
Breakfast is well spread across asian and continental food.
Hotel room rate reasonably priced for a 4-star rated.
Will stay again when back in Penang for holiday.

Location is great, walking distance to the historical part of George Town (20 mins).
The room was great and the breakfast was outstanding, lots of options.
Staff super helpful and kind.
The swinging pool was great after a long walk.

We are a party of 10 who
booked & fully paid for 3 double & 2 twin rooms. Even though our guide confirmed the booking & arrival time at noon check in took over 30 minutes to get our keys. Unacceptable for 10 tired travellers
When I pointed out my sister’s room had torn curtains the duty manager assured me they would be changed. Indeed they were … they swapped them to my room!!!!
Additionally in some bathrooms lights did not work
I recommended this hotel to my group as I was very satisfied when I stayed at this hotel a few years ago
In all a very poor experience for our 3 day stay

Room tip: Unless vast improvements are made at this hotel I would suggest going elsewhere
