On our last night in Kuching we had to change hotels because our previous hotel was fully booked. Batik Boutique Hotel turned out to be a nice budget hotel, clean with all the necessary amenities. While the room was small and a bit worn, the bed was comfortable, and the hot shower very welcome after a long day of river kayaking. Safe, TV, free WIFI.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming, plying us with some rice wine and some excellent chocolate cake while we got registered.
Good location with a great Indian restaurant, Lyn's, around the corner. There were other restaurants nearby, including a bar/restaurant with draft Tiger beer.
Breakfast was not included, but we ate at the restaurant of the hotel anyway. Good coffee, OK tea. Because we are vegan, we were only able to eat the fruit, but others enjoyed their eggs and sausages or French toast.
The hotel was great value for the money.
