We had a superb kayaking adventure with 5 well-versed guides throughout our kayaking.Lunch was simply awesome; we were served sumptuous local food - pansuh chicken (chicken cooked in bamboo), curry, etc.... Nature was at its best - heard sounds of cicadas, etc..plus perfect weather! Certainly will recommend this trip to all! Thanks a lot, Ms Grace, Mr.& Mrs Edward and sons! We appreciate your hospitality!

What a trip! Orang Utans in the jungle first then 4 hours kayaking down the river with a stop for a delicious lunch and a swim in the river. Staffed by young locals who are expert paddlers and passionate about their river. We learned about the trees in the jungle and life for villagers. Travelled through some stunning country, towering mountains, curiously water carved river rocks, some pretty tame rapids that nonetheless were thrilling and wide calm stretches with overhanging branches bamboo and butterflies. Highly recommended.

We booked the kayak tour, with the additional Orang Gutan tour, through our Guesthouse. We departed at 9:00 the 19th of March and I and my girlfriend where the only one on the tour. We were back at our hostel at at 16:30 after a perfect day. We travelled through some amazing nature on kayak and manage to see some orang gutans in the end. The staff was amazing and everything around the tour. Could not recommend it more!

We had the best time with this team from Semadang Kayak. We opted for Orangutan add on with river Kayaking experience on Valentine's day and it was such a memorable trip. Mcqueen and his brother Mckenzie are such nice people and awesome guides. The team made us feel safe, welcome and we had fun every step of the way.

Scenery was amazing, the water was cool and refreshing. Highly recommended activity to do if you are in Kuching. The water has a mild current, not difficult to navigate at all, with 1 mini rapid in between. Definitely safe for children, life vests are provided. We loved the homecooked lunch too!

We were picked up and dropped off to the hotel and there were only 2 of us the whole day so it felt like a private trip! They also give you a cd momento of pictures of the entire experience. Perfect souvenir!

My family did the orang utan and kayaking package on the 13/12/2014. What a wonderful day we had! I had suggested the activity based on the glowing reviews Semadang had been given in Trip Advisor. My wife Ally needed some convincing and was concerned about safety (rapids etc).I was convinced that we would have a unique and special day so I went ahead and made the booking regardless (arranging for a guide to travel with Ally in one kayak). I was impressed from the start with e-mails being replied to within 5 minutes. The orang utans did a "no show" in the morning because there was enough fruit in the forest but I had prepared my family for this. We had made a decision that we would rather not see them than see them unhappy in a cage. We did enjoy the briefing and waiting in the atmospheric rainforest. We will try again another day.
While the start to the day was a little disappointing the rest of the day made up for it. The kayaking trip down a river in the Borneo Highlands surpassed our expectations. It was so much fun. We visited a waterfall, were amazed by ever-changing and spectacular scenery, paddled under limestone overhangs and into a cave, had a beautiful home-made indigenous meal in a little village hall (probably the best food we ate during our entire Malaysian trip - a trip marked by some fantastic food experiences) and a relaxing, peaceful swim near the end of our paddle. The two brothers, Mackenzie and Macqueen, led our little expedition expertly with equal amounts of fun (eg teaching us how to splash with paddles), careful instruction and information about what we were seeing. Well done guys! Mackenzie turned Ally into a relatively confident kayaker. We would have been very happy with all of this..... but wait there was more. After we finished the trip we were given a CD with photographs from the day. This was included in the very reasonable price. The cake had been iced! We were dropped off at our hotel very happy. What an experience!
In a discussion after our trip we all agreed that this was the best day that we had on our entire, very memorable, Malaysian holiday. There is a reason why Semadang is Trip Advisor's number one activity in Kuching. Semadang Kayak rocks and we will be back one day to do the caving and kayaking package. Many thanks to the boys for sharing their love of kayaking and Sarawak's beautiful scenery with us.
