Stand out because of its unique structure. Next door to the Planetarium, both are showing their age. Entry to the observation deck is free and requires a ride in the lift to the 3rd level.
Take a few mnutes to walk around to see the city from different sides. Besides this, there is nothing much to do (even the cafe looked so run down and uninviting). Which is sad - they could have easily set up some kind of information gallery or shop, at least something for the kids.
The Civic Centre is within walking distance to the reservoir park and the Sarawak Museums - and from there to the town and Waterfront.
