“Incredible and memorable Borneo experience with Experienced and Professional guides!”

Came highly recommended by the hotel we were staying at, we decided to give Peraya Homestay's bamboo river rafting a try. It worked out beautifully as Valentine (the owner and operator of Peraya Homestay's trips and tours) included a visit for the orangutan morning feeding at Semenggoh Wildlife Centre before the bamboo rafting trip. It turned out that the rafting (which was both relaxing and fun) wasn't even the highlight. It was the lunch our guides prepared using almost everything from foraging in the jungle that was the most incredible part. Our day with the group from Peraya Homestay was truly outstanding and we highly recommend them if you are looking for a real Borneo experience.

I stayed for two nights at the long-house built to accommodate visitors at Peraya Village. If you are ecology/conservation minded and love nature with a bit of adventure this is an experience not to be missed. Owner/leader Valentine and guide Jagarai, supported by members of their village offer a truly unique and wonderful opportunity to explore the forests of Sarawak, visit National Parks, go rafting on the river, try your hand at survival in the jungle if you wish, and get to know the culture and life of the Bidayuh tribe. We were extremely warmly received and looked after by our village hosts, had a great time and learned a lot. I could not recommend it more.
