Can go shopping at Boulevard Mall

3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 30 May 2019
Personally, I do not like hotel rooms with carpeted floor, although the carpet I can feel its newly installed.
Breakfast was mediocre and boring. Location was good, easy access to town by e-hailing, Good and well-functioned air-cond.

I stayed in this hotel on Aug2018. It was recommended to me by a travel agency. The hotel is clean and relatively new.

The plus points:
-this hotel is near to airport
-there is a shopping center connected to the hotel. You will definitely not go hungry as there are enough food options. However don't expect too much is this mall as this is not a huge shopping center for clothes and souveniers.

The minus points:
-take note that this hotel is NOT near to city center. They do have free transport to their sister hotel called Imperial Hotel Riverbank near the city center. You can take Grab car which is quite convenient and cheap though.
-there is nothing much to do apart from the small shopping center. There is no bar or happening nearby. Somehow I find the road outside the hotel (which looks like a highway) to be too difficult to cross for a non-local. I didn't dare to cross the street though I know there are cheap massage and food options nearby.

I did like the service of the reception staff. On my last day of check-out, i left my luggage at the concierge and went for my tour to Wind and Fairy Caves. I was not aware that one of the caves is not an easy stroll. It was actually quite hot and stuffy in the cave. I went back to the hotel quite sweaty and smelly. I requested reception staff if they can allow me to use the shower room of their swimming pool. They didn't hesitate to let me use it despite that I had already checked out of the hotel. So with that, I was able to bathe and leave for airport in clean clothes. Good that they have granted my request.

In summary, if you want a clean hotel and wouldn't mind taking Grab around the city, then this is a potential choice for your stay.

Very nice room and it is attached to a mall that quite convenient to get your dinner. Walking distance to a food court opposite and there are plenty local food as well. Overall is a nice hotel to stay in. One thing to improve is better or more choices for breakfast.

We stayed one night at the Imperial hotel due to attending a wedding there, which included a traditional tea ceremony. Whilst I would not choose to stay here as a tourist due to its location (we prefer to be in the centre) the hotel was comfortable and had many facilities around it.

It is a few miles from the centre and joined to a large shopping mall containing food outlets, some tech stores and generally what you would expect of a big mall, including a large lower floor supermarket.
The foyer is large and check in was quick considering how busy it was (two weddings that night, one with 890 guests, so well over 1000 visitors). The lifts are fairly public as people need to get to the large ballrooms on the eight floor so they can get crowded at times. The room we had was fairly well light with artificial light but dull if relying on natural light, as it looked directly into the adjacent condos. The bathroom has a bath and walk in shower, well equipment and overall lit was a very spacious room. Comfortable just not exciting – which is not a problem. Value was excellent.

It’s a big hotel, lacking a bit of personality as a result, but fine for a short stay.

The rooms are spacious and bed and pillow quality are acceptable. Breakfast is commendable because they change the menu everyday. I tried the swimming pool and the size is good for doing laps but it could do a bit more cleaning. Overall it’s a good business hotel considering there’s a small shopping mall connected to the hotel.
