Abbie and Dawson made us experience great village stay and awesome jungle waterfall. They were very kind and on time for any trip.Have to appreciate their thought of providing work to the village youngsters. It was a wonderful experience staying in Semadang village, Naura aunty was lovable and provided us organic food from her farm which is excellent. She also took us to view the village and river bridge which is a pleasant walk. Kayaking and Jungle trek to reach Mabi waterfall was an adventurous experience. Excellent local food provided by Laurence in waterfall.
Totally great jungle stay experience.

Abbie and Dawson were the most easy going and helpful tour guides I've ever experienced. Our trip to Kampung Kiding was an extremely memorable one due to the fact that it was a completely authentic experience. Everyone we met welcomed us with open arms and I never felt I was intruding on people's lives.
Thank you Abbie and Dawson, you guys deserve a lot more attention!

Recently completed the Kampung Kiding tour with Backyard Tours, It was just an amazing experience. Spent five days in Kidding and Backyard Tours were so helpful in translation and making sure all our needs were met. They went above and beyond to ensure that we were well looked after and to ensure we got most out of the tour. They even organised extra activities organised with the collaboration of the locals. Simply amazing and would recommend them to anyone who is even remotely interested.

Went up to the kidding village with them and they were extremely helpful with everything, ranging from translations to just general things to do.
Entire 5 days i was there they were extremely open and optimistic :)

Just spent the day with a great young couple forging a social enterprise to give back to local villages through tourism.
Dawson and Abbi were generous in the information they provide along the way, giving context to the experience well beyond what you would get normally.
We were warmly welcomed by the locals who were happy to show us the sights and answer our questions . A highlight was the local lunch prepared by Gloria and shared sitting beside a gorgeous waterfall where we enjoyed a cooling dip.
Our guides even went out of their way to take us to a Fresh food market on the way home, after we asked about where we couls buy fruit in Kuching.
The orang-utans were well worth the visit, playfully performing and free to roam about. Tourists are kept at arms length and it seems to be a well managed centre.
It was good to be taken up into the hills and experience the rainforest and village life from people who know a lot about it and who have a heart to respect those who live there and provide them with opportunities.
I highly recommend Backyard Tours to anyone who is looking for an authentic local experience and willing to enjoy the adventure of going off the grid.
