The owner has something to be proud of, for making this restaurant one of the best Thai restaurants in town, putting other establishments which have invested more to shame. And the owner is not afraid to boast about their achievement as well.

Erawan came to top the charts not by being cheap, which they are not. Expect MYR80 to 100 per head. They do serve great Thai food, and the portion is not big either. Hats off the owners for being able to command a one-week waiting list despite their shortcomings.

Nestled in the middle of the ever busy and something sleazy Dataran Sunway, the restaurant has established itself as a powerhouse for Thai cuisine. They did this with simply good food. We tried but a few dishes only and found all of them to be great tasting.

The restaurant even went to the extent of some fine garnishing which is quite unique. Love their attention to detail.

Patrons, please park either in Giza or the multi-level parking nearby and walk to the restaurant. And by all means, do book beforehand or risk having to go to another restaurant.

We had our CNY dinner at Erawan, a fabulous choice... We started out with the special 78-ingredients yeesang - it was delicious for something so healthily composed. We then tried the unique lotus petal appetiser (apparently, this used to be served only to Thai royalty) instead of the usual mieng kam. We had the seafood tomyam - the squid, prawns and abalone mushrooms were fresh and the broth was terrific, milky with a light orange tinge. The green curry chicken, the lemon grass chicken and the lotus stem in garlic were delicious. We topped the meal off with candied cassavas, sticky rice, fresh mango and roasted bananas - simply divine! The bill came up to mid RM500 for the 6 of us - but we felt it was a fair price for the culinary excellence. Everything tasted great. I will be back!

Went to this restaurant on a friend's recommendation. They serve authentic thai dishes in their small but cosy restaurant, beautiful setting, nice ambiance. Love the duck dish the most

But reservation is a must so as not to be disappointed as they are packed most of the time, if not all the time.

One thing is very authentic about this restaurant is the owner manages the restaurant himself,
He was there to take our order and very friendly to recommending his menu to us.

Should make reservation first because the tables are very limited.

The food was nicely presented, and nice chinaware too. Good selection of desserts.

Price is high, about rm 100/ person for dinner. Worth the experience to taste the classic Thai cuisine.
