Stayed here with family..nice room..staff are friendly..hotel lobby looks grand..b’fast buffet is good..but only that there is no staff in swimming pool area..even lifeguard..but the pool is suitable for kids..nearby to tourists attractions..the room is big…

It was once a 4 star hotel when I stayed here 8 years ago. This time, after Covid, everything has changed drastically. I’m very disappointed for the following points:
- Dirts are everywhere in the bedroom. Many big stains on the bed sheet and pillow cases, MOLDY bathroom, too many dirty stains on the carpet. Despite asking for a change of bed sheet, the new one was slightly cleaner but still got some stains.
- Run down facilities: Many lighting points both in the bedroom and bathroom were not working. Luckily, 2 electricians came up to fix it after sending a request. Peeled off wallpaper and worn out rubber seal of the glass window. I was hearing the noise from the street the whole time because the window was not firmly closed due its broken rubber seal.
- Rude staff: definitely not all but I had a terrible experience with a night operator lady.
- Poor quality food: no variety in breakfast but that’s understandable as the hotel may not have many guests after Covid. But the worst is the room service food. I ordered room service twice and the food was like a microwaved meal and not freshly cooked. Not worth the money I have paid.
Hopefully, hotel’s owner and the management team will take their guest’s comments constructively to improve. I wish to see this hotel bringing back its glory days.
Another terrible experience staying in this hotel,
1. U will never imagine u will see many cockroaches surrounding you in the room, and not only in room and in toilet as well. I have 3 kids with me in the family suite, but since day 1 already mentioned to the house keeping. But then again, I will "meet" the cockroaches until I left.
2. Low maintenance - downlight is hanging and no functioning. Side table bulb is mot installed properly, I nd to fix it myself.
3. Glass is break after I pour hot water, luckily my son not getting injured. Mentioned this issue to the managaer on duty. The reaction is, ok, alright.
4. Since the room I booked without breakfast, and decided to walk in since was public holiday, when I took the plates and glass, most of that are dirty. And the staffs there are not well trained.
5. When I was at the concierge counter, waiting more than 15minutes to get my parking ticket to validate, no one attended, until shouted at the staff then only come to attend with slumber face.
Well, I can't imagine this is 5 star rated hotel. Used to be regular customers here, but this round make us so disappointed.
