My 5th visit to Sunway Lagoon Hotel and i would visit again .However i do feel its lost some of its previous charm. and the service has declined. While staff remain charming & ever helpful they are not as visible, waiting for service & having to seek them out on a number of occasions. Rooms are in need of an upgrade, did not help that we had to report a malfunction in the bathroom twice and then change rooms. Our new room required an extra chair so we had somewhere to sit other than the bed! Staff provided us with a chair which in a previous life I strongly suspect had been used by maintenance as a painters ladder ! On our previous visits we ate regularly within in the hotel, new buffet facility is a poor relation to what went before, although i could not fault the food it seems removed from the main hotel body now. Very family friendly hotel with excellent access to Sunway Lagoon Park. Connected shopping mall has a wide varied of food establishments at a very reasonable cost.

This hotel is like a paradise. I loved everything about this hotel starting from room conditions and facilities , breakfast , pool and the services. I don't think you can find something similar to this hotel in Malaysia. Everything perfect. I would love to stay in this hotel forever and its definitely my first destination every time i will visit Petaling Jaya.

We were upgraded to a suite on the 21st floor upon checkin, probably the best part of our stay. I wonder what their regular rooms would be like. The room had an entry hall, bedroom to left and a living room and toilet to the right. It was extremely dusty and housekeeping had to be called it to get it cleaned. We were on a non smoking floor, yet my neighbour was smoking and it filled my room with the horrendous smell. The duty manager was quick to address this, but I am left with a sour memory of my stay. Room facilities needed to be fixed or attended during my stay. Battery for safe needed to be replaced and the tub wouldn't fill.
Breakfast had a lot of variety, but the quality of food items was very bad for a five star hotel. Staff looked tired and disinterested.

This Hotel shouldn't be called a resort, the only facility they have is a swimming pool and a spa and you will need to walk almost 5-10 mins to get it to it. There aren't any other facilities, entertainment or play area for kids but it's close proximity to the mall is a big plus.

Although this hotel isn't affiliated with Sunway Lagoon, they feel like they can take advantage of its facilities and rate themselves as a resort!!!!!!
