Went to Terengganu for business trip in March. Decided to stay in Prinzpark hotel. The hotel location is good, near to the 'floating mosque'
The hotel is cool, staff is friendly, spacious room, clean.
The only downside is that their breakfast is lousy.

Arrival with no body greeted at the door
Poor reception location at the side cannot see who is coming
Check in pretty quick but no body check the room wether can be sell good condition
Poor management of the hotel
Food and beverage
Serving cool good on the buffet chefs is around but no body check the quality of food serving cool baked been, cold chicken sausage, chefs prepare the scramble egg with the frying pan that benn use for 2 to 3 years I think full of grese even pill out while making the scramble egg unbelievable the person in charge next to him did say anything I just ignore him
Busy talking with colleagues
Poor presentation as local traveler we need local food such as nasi dagang, Keropok Lekor, nasi lemak, nasi Kerabu, local kuih mueh not nasi goreng.
Chef should be proud serving local food
Chefs should be expose on to the international hotel
Housekeeping process before releasing the room to front desk
Room must be check by supervisors in charge
To check everywhere before releasing to front desk
Engineering to fixed every default area before major incident happened
Management should have one day one room care program if you have 365 room in one year you have perfect room every day

Please look at the kitchen preparation buffet area you have the staff but no body look at the buffet area hot food should be served hot / cold food to be served cold not warm as per ISO 22000/ MS please Google and look in to this and I will be back to look at the improvement
Why good stay:
Convenient near to the town
Near to the mosque
Near to the beach Batu Buruk, chendering
Great view

For few years old hotel it was in horrible condition. It was infested with bugs and mold. Ants were everywhere in rooms and includeing in the restaurant, specially in food tables(obvious). There were bedbugs in our rooms. We changed our room once but it did not help. The rooms were really dirty in every way possible and bathroom was covered in mold. The staff was nice and helpfull except when we wanted another room. At least there was hot water and good water pressure in the second room because there was lousy pressure and only warm watet in the first. The water was really brown and dirty from the tap. Sewers were blocked so water would flood on the bathroom floors. I don't recommend this hotel to family with children.

The room is spacious and have basic amenities. The food at floating restaurant is average. We ate steamboat here, little choice of foods but reasonable price.
Have sweet escape for one day here and enjoy the facilities offered here such as Spa and water activity at the lake close to hotel.

I come to KT regularly but the hotel is not my first choice because of the distance from KT a bit far ( 15min) compared to other closer alternatives.
Like :
- Huge room and comfortable with convenient parking
- Nice seaview of the sunrise from the window and peaceful ambience, it is flanked by a manmade lake and the sea.
- Value for money for government rate
- Nearby sport complex has a deep and large pool to do laps as well as a bowling alley

Cons :
- distance as mentioned
- decor are too simple and aged
- occasional aircond malfunction but staff accommodate request to change room promptly
- not enough staff, no bell boys etc.
- one of the worst breakfast spread, ok variety for the price but the taste is too mediocre for a hotel, and sometimes hard in consistency of the local food, bad tasting and over sweetened readmade coffee
- sport complex maintenance of the pool and facilities are poor, pool are murky and at one time was too disgusting to dip in, rundown changing rooms, bowling alley opened at night only, watersport at the lake non existant despite advertisement.

The hotel has so much potential and would benefit from a better funded and imaginative new management. If not for the quite sleep and beautiful sunrise here, its not a good choice at the moment. Hopefully it will improve

Room tip: Choose a room facing the sea and closer to the elevator for convenience. Ask for government rate if you are one.
