The main draw for this hotel, in my opinion, is its fantastic location and relatively cheap price. The rooms are okay on cleanliness but I had issues with the plumbing in my bathroom and they don't offer towels or even hand soap. I think it's good for a night or two, but any longer than that and I would consider other places to stay.

Location is super convenient, and this is mainly why I picked Sahara Hotel, as I had a couple of meeting in the area. Keep in mind that it is a 1 star hotel (it says so on Booking.com), so it is totally unfair to be critical and leave bad comments. If you book a 1 star hotel, be happy with what you get, and keep your mouth shut.
If you prefer luxury and comfort, this is not a hotel to choose. If you are Ok with basic and simple rooms, that has a charming historic look and not in a perfect condition, then you'll be fine. If you are a needy traveller who can't figure it out yourself and constantly ask questions, choose a 5 star place. If you are fine with a place run by locals, you'' be fine.
I like the fact that the Sahara Hotel is run by local Moroccans, and things are laid back. The guy in the reception was kind and helpful when I arrived. Thanks.

If you are looking for a good place to stay, then this hotel is for you. Simple, very basic, little shady but has a great location.Rooms are nice, bathrooms need some reparation and beds are so warm, comfortable nice to sleep in. The hotel is only quiet after midnight due to the noise on the big plaza. Staff are nice. This hotel is enough if you are just looking for a simple place to spend very comfortable nights. The hotel is not cosy and no restaurant is available. but you can find many restaurants, café and snacks few meters away, the hotel is right beside the entry to Medina.
I personally enjoyed my stay there with family.

Room Tip: Prefer view on the big plaza

Well situated, extremely helpful / friendly staff. Glory days gone, offers a faded, elegant, charm. Great art, rooms nice sizes, mood lighting, beds and linen - immaculate, need to plan for hot water.

Room Tip: There in Oct last year doing French at the IF. Perfect home from home. The guys on rec were terrific! Front rooms best view.

Never ever ever again, cold showers, dirty rooms, no breakfast, and arguments with a inhospitable manager, a hotel that has not updated itself since the 1970s,
Manager has only excuses for nothing working, no solutions

stay clear of this tourist trap.
