My family and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel with a historical past, very beautiful building and extremely comfortable. Everything is perfect: location, accommodation, breakfast and service.

Coming out of the desert, what better place to stay than this lovely hotel, with comfortable rooms, good food, and being in a modern town with great amenities. Hard to believe one isn't in Europe. Friendly front desk staff and elegant restaurant.

The Swakopmund Hotel is a beautiful building ( previously a train station) and great hotel. I was very impressed with the front desk staff, who were extremely accommodating and able to answer all of our questions. The rooms were large and clean and there was free room Wi-Fi available. This hotel was actually the only place in Namibia where I was able to get decent internet access. Although it was too cold to go swimming when I visited, the pool was beautiful. The breakfast buffet was very generous and fresh. The hotel is located within short walking distance of most attractions in Swakopmund. Highly recommend.

We so enjoyed our stay at this gracious, historical and architecturally stunning hotel.
Our room was spacious and well appointed with easy access to pool and dining room.
The breakfasts were really delicious with lovely fresh fruit and pastries as well as the usual hot choices.
The staff were well trained and always friendly.
Every morning we set off for a lovely walk around the town and were blown away by the architecture and history of Swakopmund.
This is a well run hotel and we cannot recommend it highly enough.

As a luxury travel writer for world-adventurer.com I've stayed in many "luxury" properties in Africa. Swakopmund Hotel astounds with its beautiful architecture and classic colonial rooms.

Swakopmund is a colonial town, so there are several options to stay in colonial houses, but why not stay in the elaborately designed train station? Here are the highlights:
- Building and History: The establishment exudes class and style. Walk around the bar and see the pictures of the station when I was used as a train station. The restaurant also keeps with the train theme and the central pool area is stunning.
- Rooms: Classy, quiet, and well decorated. You'll feel like you were transported back in time.
- Location: Not only is the hotel right in the middle of the town with most sights easy to visit by foot, but the hotel is an attraction itself.

Overall, this seems to be the most luxurious and iconic property to stay at in the city. I highly recommend it!
