I stayed here last august for 2 nights, the room is nice and staff at the reception warm welcome me, they honor my loyalty membership card and gift me a coupon where i can use in one of they're Bar at the 4th floor, when i present the coupon in one of thier waiter he was like so arrogant to take my free beer. i was very disappointed and not to mention the Wi-Fi is not Free of in the room.

This review is both for Holiday Inn and Crowne under one company IHG.

I've stayed in these hotels many times since 2003, so I am very familiar with almost everything. Quite old(4 star) for Holiday Inn but you everything is clean, neat. Both has excellent buffet breakfast. These hotels are adjacent to robinsons mall, very convenient to dine and shop anytime.

I've stayed for 5 nights in Holiday Inn, and 1 night in Crowne plaza prior to my departure. For Crowne , they gave me a nice rate for a late check out around 30% off. The only downside, both hotel charges for wifi connectivity. in the philippines everywhere you go almost any shop, malls, cafes wifi is free of charge. Ive been to so many hotels and i dont understand why these hotels charges for almost $5/hour or $15 a day. If you do the math , it doesnt even make sense to pay for a day connection because you are always out. i hope they will look on this issue because this is something very standard (not add on service) and very important for a business traveller.

Tried the Bar one,. curious about their biggest burger which has a 1 or 1.5lbs(?) of beef patty. well, i did not order but my jaw dropped when I saw it !! Real huge... Nice ambience and food, with a live singer/band.

Oh priority club members gets a free alcoholic or non alcoholic drink from the bar :)

This is in the best area in the Manila area...hotel very clean, very helpful staff and many of them. American breakfast very good and reasonable...buffet was 22 dollars...did not need that much food...none of taxi drivers speak English so hotel front desk would always go out to taxi and interprete to driver exactly where we wanted to go...very helpful..went to Green Hills shopping center 10 minute taxi ride away from hotel..got knock off Toms shoes for 7 dollars each...is around 50 to 60 dollars in states...hundreds of little booths at this shopping center...

Room Tip: We had a deluxe room...was in corner with hugh windows on two walls...very quiet hotel..on 17th floor

I have stayed in this hotel for 5 nights.

The Holiday Inn is an older hotel and you can see it. However, it is clean and everything works. Unlike other reviewers I was experiencing a very friendly staff that greeted and smiled all the time and made me feel very welcome. From check-in to check-out.

I had a room on a high-floor, which was nice. The interior of the rooms is quite old and needs renovation soon, but I didn't think it was such a big issue. The room was clean and included flatscreen TV, in-room safe, iron/ironing board and a bathroom with a shower tub as well as daily newspaper.

The internet connection is payable and it therefore it is very annoying, that it is very slow. This seems to be a standard in Manila. I had this problem in other hotels as well. Nevertheless it is OK for downloading emails and surfing the web.

Unlike other hotels in this category the Holiday Inn Galleria has a great gym. It is actually a Gold's Gym Express and therefore quite big.

The attached shopping mall is also nice and it offers additional restaurant choices and entertainment, especially if you have to stay over the weekend as I did.

The breakfast buffet offers a good choice of Western and local food, but I think the food quality needs to be improved.

Room Tip: Choose a room on a high level. I had a corner room 2409.

While the Holiday Inn Galleria is a nice hotel in a convenient location to Robinsons Mall and ADB HQ, it really lets itself down because of the lack of adequate internet connectivity, which is critical for business travel these days and also for recreational travel to a lesser extent. The internet connection at the hotel is available via a fee, which is like charging hotel guests for the use of electricity. Internet connectivity is a standard now, and should not be an add-on.
Also, the signal strength was generally poor during my stay unlike where I stayed for a few days elsewhere, where the signal was very good to excellent. While I had a good stay with nice staff and convenient location, I could not return until adequate and free internet connection is provided. Would rather pay more upfront in the hotel cost than have to pay additional and quite high hourly / daily internet charges.
