It was very sad and traumatic experienced to book with a person named Minerva Nene Sanchez a.k.a Mimi Minerva who we lately discovered that she is a legit scammer, we booked 2 nights stay to her coz she's selling room vouchers from fili nustar casino players room and offer discounted price but when the day we arrive at the hotel she had plenty of alibis and told us that there's no room available. I had to travel hours just to get to fili hotel last weekend with my kids and just told that we can't check in because she cannot go inside the hotel. We spend thousands to pay her instantly but until now she can't give us the refund. I know she already spent it and it was very traumatic dealing with her. My kids are very sad because they were very excited at that time to stay at fili hotel and to have swimming but because of Minerva Nene Sanchez she ruined everything. The hotel was great. Rooms were very big. The bathroom was very spacious too. Not a lot of stores open as yet when it does I a, sure it will be better. It is kinda far from the main city but if you want to chill away from it all it is not bad. The breakfast buffet was the best. So much food and it tasted good; I will be back next time.

Finally, an Afternoon Tea in Cebu. The entire experience started with a very warm welcome from the staff. After giving our tea orders, the beautiful stand filled with versions of the sandwiches, scones and cakes. The Christmas theme made it very attractive. I started with the Chicken Pastel Puffs which was perfectly seasoned for me. The Sweet Ham & Queso de Bola Croquette Monsieur was delicious. I wish the portion was bigger. The star of the savoury offerings is the Pork Embutido Paste Sesame Crusted Pan de sal. The embutido paste did taste of embutido ! The pan de sal would have looked more authentic if the bread was not egg washed and had the more traditional look. The Pistachio scone was well thought of but it felt too dense inside. The flavour was spot on though. The clotted cream was ok and the jam had a texture of jelly and was too sweet and artificially flavoured for me. I am not a fan of Fruit cakes but I finished mine. The Raspberry macaron’s colour caught my attention as soon as the stand arrived. The Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch Yule Log was my favourite. It’s exactly what I expected it to be. It was beautifully made and decorated. The “extras” that came with the presentation like the snowman and santa figures with the white chocolate plaque with “Maligayang Pasko” made it more festive. There’s limited choices on the tea menu but what was on it was very traditional.

The staff headed by Jeryna were amazing. They were all very friendly, attentive, pleasant and had a smile on their faces. It was a pleasure to have met the hotel’s F&B manager Ej who took time to speak to us.

The general experience was EXCELLENT. I will be back bringing more family and friends.
