All forts are a must see when we travel. This one takes about 30 minutes to explore. Entrance fee is nominal and parking is free for senor citizens.

One of the most historic place in Cebu City why? Because the history of Cebu city is feature in this place,How spaniards discover the Philippines, The battle of Mactan, Mass in Limasawa and you will be able to see here the first Spanish flag that was brought here in the Philippines and the image of the galleon that was used by the spaniards when they discovered Cebu in 1521. Being a filipino It's an opportunity for me to see the history of Cebu.

First Day activity for our Cebu trip. Went here at around 2 or 3 in the afternoon (can't remember exactly the time), and tourists were pulling-over (exhausting site). Had to pay Php 30 each (since we're three).

Well, if you already visited Fort Santiago in Manila, you will notice that the two sites are similar: walkway through history. I've noticed that the place is well-maintained. Surely, they protect and preserve the ruins of history.

I just want to ask each tourist to do their part as well: Be responsible. Don't litter, or don't touch any replicas/historical objects to avoid it for getting any damages.

Recommendation: If you would want to have long walks, and if you're fond of history, I suggest to include this one in your itinerary.

Just the historical significance and trying to get your head aound that it was the 1500s almost 500 years ago and the Spanish arrive and say hey this place is ours now.
Design of the fort is interesting.

Visit this place in the afternoon, say 4pm when the sun is less hot to burn your skin. Place is well maintained. Bring a bottle of water. Enjoy!
