We tried to book and pay for our 4 night stay online, but our payment kept getting rejected for no reason. Eventually, we were advised that the only way we could pay, was to pay via a third party called, ‘Maya’. We received a receipt for payment, but never received confirmation of our booking. We tried many times to contact them via phone and email, but they never replied.
Eventually, when we arrived in the Philippines, we went to the hotel to check if we had a reservation there. The front desk advised that we didn’t have one there. They gave us a number to contact Maya and finally managed to get a hold of them to find out why we never received confirmation (which we still don’t have), we were advised by them that our reservation is actually in their hotel, but in a different city. Definitely not accidentally booked there as I lived in the Philippines most of my life.
Now because we never received confirmation, we had no choice other than to book another hotel as we are travelling with a toddler and didn’t want to risk not having anywhere to stay. We explained all of this to Crown Regency Bookings, only to be told that they would not refund our money. They said they could transfer our reservation to the other hotel, but we would have to pay considerably more to do this.
We are so upset and angry about their unethical behaviour. We will never stay here again. Also, the rooms are old and grubby and definitely don’t look like the ones shown on their website. I don’t understand how they have a four star rating.
We do not recommend this place whatsoever. Zero stars (the site forces you to put at least one, sadly)
