We (5 adults) booked two rooms: Business Twin & Business Queen rooms (with breakfast provided).

Pros:
- Walking distance to the famous Hefang Street, but it was quite dark shallow walkway at night.
- Restaurant & convenient stores located next door.
- Budget hotel (with lift, air-cond, hot shower), if you just want a place to overnight only then it's fine.

Cons:
- Annoying business cards (targeting guys who look for 'special service') distributed to the rooms every night. Oh please, these annoying cards really make your hotel downgrade to a certain extent!!!
- No bottle water provided in the room. Not even a glass (only soft paper cups given) for me to make a tea.
- The breakfast served was really disappointing! (only a bowl of plain porridge with some fermented vegetables, buns, and boiled egg, THAT's ALL!)
I would strongly suggest you to skip this hotel breakfast and visit the restaurant next door for a better, appealing breakfast.
- The receptionist (a guy with a ponytail) was impatient while we are checking in to the hotel. Also, they allowed smoking at the lobby area which really makes non-smoking guest uncomfortable, especially the air ventilation is not good in the small lobby area.
- Toilet bowl seems to clog for our room. Once we flush, the stool wouldn't go off. It was very frustrating as we need to flush a few times or even use the shower head to help the flushing in order to get rid of the stool.

Room tip: Skip the breakfast, Check the bathroom functionality

We changed to this hotel after realising the one that we booked on line, 3B Inn is too far from all the tourist spots. However, when we called up 7 Days Inn, they keep saying there is room available but when we arrived there, the staff explained that it is only for members which we were unaware of in the first place. There is plenty of rooms available but non-members are required to book a more expensive room type. Ended up we paid RMB$58 to be its member so as to get a cheaper room-type. Overall, it is cheaper to be a member to enjoy some of its perks.

The staff who served us is Ms Lee and I admire her efficiency in attending to several customers at one time as there seemed to be shortage of staff. She was also most patient in answering all our queries and one thing thoughtful about this hotel is that there are small slips of papers on directional tips to the various places of interests for guests to pick up.

In terms of location, it is indeed a perfect site for short-term travellers like us because it is approximately 10mins walk to the train station and bus terminal. We took a bus to Lingyin Temple (Y2) and the ride was about 40mins but along the way, one gets to see the West Lake. The Inn is also near the famous Hefang Street and we spent two nights there getting all the souvenirs (much cheaper than elsewhere) and also feasting on the street-food. It is a place for one to quickly sink into the atmosphere of Hangzhou. There is also a convenience store just steps away from the Inn.

The room is very small, just adequate for two persons with two large luggages but at the rate of approximately S$45/night, even cheaper than 3B Inn and nearer to the famous Hefang Street, one cannot ask for more. As it is at the end of the Hefang Street, taxi drivers may not be able to find, so can just mention that it is along a lake and near to a train station / bus terminal. We noticed there were several 7 Days Inn but in terms of convenience, the one at 53 at the junction off JianGuo Road and Hefang Street is the best.

There is no view from our room but we noticed some will have the lakeview, so do ask for that if possible. Aircon works very well and the bed is comfortable but the pillow is too soft and flat. They do not re-stock toiletries daily but just a kit for the entire stay. Security is excellent too as after 11pm, the entrance to the hotel will be locked and needs the hotel card key to activate it, likewise for the lift. For such a small hotel, having such security measures inplaced is indeed commendable.

Room tip: Ask for Lakeview
