I traveled to the city of Sapporo in the Hokkaido area in Japan back in September and had the opportunity to attend to a game of the local baseball team "Sapporo Fighters" , not only was the game to the level of Major Leagues but what impressed me even more was how organized and clean the place was from the lobby, to the seats and even the bathrooms.

The stadium has a closed roof and has A/C which makes it nice to attend any time of the year. The place has an indoor food court with many options available for any cravings you might have (It is not the less expensive meals but it is at a reasonable price for a Stadium) . The place also sells articles from the local team so you can buy souvenirs without even going to a different place and there are different stands in different areas of the stadium so you will never find a place to crowded or out of stock.

When you are in your seats you will see girls going around with that appears to be a back pack, which turns out to be a beer pack with a hose used to serve been but the glass to anyone who requests it, but do not worry if you don´t drink alcohol, there is also a soft drink menu and all at an affordable price and without getting out of your seat.

Do not miss the chance to catch a game on your next travel to Sapporo!

Japanese baseball is an AWESOME experience! Even if you are not a huge fan of the game, go anyway. The crowd, the singing, the chanting the spectacle, is fantastic! If you ARE a huge fan, all the more reason! They play a great brand of baseball. Not to be missed!!

Amazing place of engineering. Worth a visit to see the local teams play baseball or soccer. The turf in the stadium can move around to form the different fields! The Japanese crowds are both loud and respectful of the opposition. Well worth it

This stadium held one of the FIFA Worldcup match back in 2002. It is very modern and high tech stadium i've been to. There is a gift shop for Cansadole Sapporo team & Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighter which is the Hokkaido Football club & Hokkaido Baseball club respectively on the first floor. There is playground for kids and restaurants inside. Tourists are allowed to go inside with no fees to take a look around or take pictures, but if you wanna go to the observatory, you have to pay for it.

I've been to a few events at Sapporo Dome and it's a crap place to get to and from. When leaving, you have to go through an undercover area but it gets bottlenecked so badly that you might have to wait for half hour or more to even get in, then a long, crowded wait to get through. I have a feeling they do this on purpose to avoid too much congestion at the subway station, since there is only line to the Dome.

Also, not enough toilets.
