Surely the best 3-star hotel we've stayed in, anywhere.
The first thing about this hotel is that it's attached to the main railway station. That helps after a long Shinkansen (bullet train) journey. Better than that, all town transport is easily accessible, especially buses and street cars, and getting around town is EASY.
Breakfast is excellent, they even offer an option of European/American menu or Japanese menu, if you dare!! Rooms were large and comfortable and quiet, recetion staff very helpful.
There is a sky bar seling excellent drinks and cocktails BUT BEWARE of the incredibly priced tea and cake, about £15 per person for a cup of tea and a very small piece of cake...and I mean small.
That aside...EXCELLENT

The Hotel is connected to Shinkansen station entrance and easily accessible in a minute from the hotel lobby. There are plenty of eating places surroundings the hotel. Many Okonomiyaki stalls, Hiroshima soul food, are just across Hiroshima Station and open till late night for those looking for something to fill the stomach. I strongly recommend this Hotel for business or leisure travelers especially those carrying luggages around.

this Hotel reminded me of how useful it is to book a hotel next to the JR station. It was a nice 3.5 star hotel with a great location to pretty much everything. I will now remember to look for good hotels next to JR stations as we usually have to take the shinkansen anyways. If I am ever in the Hiroshima area, this will be the only hotel I stay. There are many restaurants in the JR station as well as others within walking distance. The hotel lobby has a nice 4 star feel. In addition, the sightseeing bus is right behind the hotel and free for JR Pass holders. Just remember that the hotel is towards the North end of the Hiroshima station (which is huge!) when taking the under ground walkway.

The entrance from the JR station was not so easy to find, but the hotel is located in the same complex of the JR station. Very convenient for the sightseeing. Rooms are clean and big enough by Japanese standards. The hotel offers good breakfast buffet and, if you like, Japanese breakfast.

Stayed here for the first few nights after arriving in Japan. Access to the hotel was wonderful and the last thing you want to do after 13 hours of travelling is spend time trying to find your hotel- with Hotel Granvia we didn't have to worry.

Our room had everything you would expect, it was very clean and the staff were wonderful. Meals were easy to come by with restaurants all around and if you get breakfast included it is great to be able to choose between 'western' and traditional Japanese.

If we ever find ourselves in Hiroshima again we will be booking this hotel. It also works well because lots of tours leave from the bus area right outside the hotel so you don't have to get up super early to find your group!
