There's a 1100 yen admission fee for this small, tasteful museum. If the show appeals to you, definitely go. You'll see a spectacular building design, a specially curated exhibition with labels in English , and you will probably not be tormented by surging crowds. There's a cafe for lunch , dessert and coffee and a very well stocked museum shop on the ground floor, with textiles, ceramics , paper, cards, jewelry, candles , and so on. The prices are reasonable and the quality is high, so if you want to buy gifts , this would be a good option (much better than souvenir /touristy shops ).
