If you are visiting Nagasaki and plan to explore nearby regions (Sasebo, Saga-ken, Shimabara, etc.) this hotel would be a perfect place to stay. JR station is just beneath it and the core city of Nagasaki is within walking distance from it. Seafood restaurants in Dejima wharf is just 10 minutes walk and the Peace park can be reached by tram in front of the hotel. Moreover, the amenities are excellent and the view of mountainous Nagasaki can be enjoyed from the room (well.. depends on which floor you are :) )

The hotel is very centralized with airport limousine reaching the location. Amu plaza is just next to it.

Room is slightly bigger than standard hotel room in shinjuku. There's additional cost of 1,000 per hour if you want to check in earlier and it's common in Japan.

Room comes with all toiletries including facial cleanser.

Good hotel although it's not new but very comfortable.

JR Kyushu Hotel Nagasaki is situated on the 2nd floor of the mall adjacent to the train station and is across the road to the tram station (which is the waypoint for all the tourist spots and attractions. The rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable in general.
The staff is outgoing and friendly, unfortunately they speak only a few words in English - Enough for the transaction of checking in and out but problematic for everything else.
The Hotel is close to several restaurants and though most are quite pricy they are of good quality.

On the downside - the breakfast is only of medium quality and unfortunately the omelet served is a scrambled raw egg (which is very Japanese-like but doesn't suit everyone).

All in All JR Kushu Hotel Nagasaki meets all the needs of a tourist and as such receives the rank of 9 on the Daniel Scale

Just at the top of Nagasaki Station, easy to find when you come out from the JR gate. Super good location and super good services. Staff are good in English. Nice and smart. Room is small but clean and comfortable. As our room face to Mt. Inasa, so beautiful view.

Room Tip: top floor face to Mt. Inasa

You can't go wrong with this hotel. I stayed for 3 nights and had a really comfortable experience. It is conveniently located at the Japan Rail (JR) Nagasaki station. This area is also the hub for all other transportation, taxis, buses, and trams, including an Express bus to and from the Fukuoka International Airport. The hotel is also next to the Amu Plaza, a mall with many restaurants, bookstores, clothes shops, home and other stuff you may need. The hotel links with the Royal Host Restaurant for breakfast of its guests. The restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner guests. The JR Kyushu Hotel staff are friendly and accommodating whether you speak Nihonggo or not. My on-arrival requests were managed quickly and respectfully. Check-in and check-out procedures are a breeze. The guests rooms are cozy and pleasant, with a queen size bed, comfy pillows and sheets. The room also comes with a closet space, and its own bathroom (with tub), and generous amenities. There is a TV but with only 1 English news channel. You can have pay-per-view movies if you want. On my guest floor, there was also a room with 2 sets of washer and dryer for laundry, and vending machines for various drinks. I highly recommend this hotel.
