After having some trouble staying in GreenHut Lodge last May, I chose Alpha Genesis Hotel this time, for a little more luxury, instead of those low rate lodges and inns. The room rate is about RM140 including all service charge and tax. However, I had a 25% discount from my Agoda membership reward, which means I just paid less than RM100 a night.

As Alpha Genesis Hotel is directly opposite to Greenhut, one can still enjoy all the advantages around the vicinity, but for the change, having your very own privacy, comfortable sleep, and all amenties you generally find in a regular hotel.

And I do enjoy the live band at BB Plaza every night from 9pm-12midnight, as have been doing that every time I visit KL. Sometimes they have band groups rotation so one can enjoy different songs and singers. But the anchor group is the best as their artistes do perform songs in Chinese, Cantonese, Thai, Spanish, Arabian, to name a few.

For what it claims to be, this hotel really fell short. Had an okay location, but was still a good walk to get anywhere, was also difficult to find. Having already checked in, I noticed there were cheaper hotel rooms around, with about the same to offer. By the time they added extra costs including taxes to the price they quoted me it well and truly was. Really average service, I swear the bed had bed bugs, and that there was construction going on next store that was kind of disturbing. Also, ask them what they mean when they say a free breakfast, you will be disappointed as I was.
