As reflected by other feedback given, this property (Hotel and Residence) will benefit from a massive facelift and renovation. Please read through the other reviews for these areas.
I have chosen to focus on the positives which include -
Staff
The staff who assisted us is great and are wonderful examples of Malaysian Hospitality. Warm, effable and interacting with them makes you feel welcome and special. Credit was be given to Derlan, Irwan from the Bell desk, you guys deserve a special mention for your efficiency and attitude towards work. Keep it up guys. Doing a great job. Kimi from the spread restaurant should also be acknowledged for wishing us well and holding the door open for us while I was pushing mum in a wheelchair.
A raising star must surely be Ms Leng Shyin from the front desk. Although just a trainee, she handled our check in and out process like a seasoned professional and never failed to wish us well and to have a good day whenever we past her desk. Positive interactions like this make our day. She has a promising career ahead of her if she keeps this up and I sincerely hope management takes note of this feedback and make an effort to give her permanent staff status.
Proximity to shopping centre and transport
Gardens mall, Mid valley mall, LRT, MRT station are just a few minutes walk away that can take you almost everywhere in KL. No need to say more.

Certainly not a 5-star hotel with many things not working and service extremely lacking. Stayed 3 nights and paying for a price that it is not really worth it.
1. Check in at 8 pm and one of the two door key cards issued did not worked.
2. Room was missing a hair dryer and wife pretty upset as not bale to dry her hair.
3. How to watch TV when the remote controller is missing from the room.
4. Call hotel operator, housekeeping and even front desk and not a single soul answered the call. Is there a Halloween party elsewhere?
5. Had to drag myself down to front desk at 10 pm to file a complaint. Don't understand as a security guy came after 30+ minutes to pass me the hair dryer and TV remote. Is that so difficult?
6. As for the room, it wasn't really clean (a) Had to wipe the chair as there were sticky sort of liquid left behind on the surface, so was the desk (b) Washroom door was large and seems to be stuck at times when pushed - I guessed the hotel staff never grease the wheels (c) Water pressure were not that great - there was hot water but the cold-water pipe seems to be stuck somehow coming out in drips.

The only good thing about this hotel is that it sits at the mega Mid Valley shopping Centre. There are many restaurants here and niche shops. Gets very crowded during weekends. Another plus point is the easy access via the Red line and KTM line.

For the price I paid, and the poor service rendered, I will not stay here anymore. Heard that a brand-new luxury hotel had open just across the river from Gardens. Stay away.

Room tip: Good only for shopping.

Pro: Room was clean and tidy. Toilet was spacious.
Con: there’s no free parking for guest. It’s Rm5 per entry. Breakfast variety should improved (doesn’t really looks 5 star to me)
Tips: park near parking B the garden. Can easily access to hotel.

The check in staff was very friendly and helpful with our check in. Despite us checking in pretty late he managed to put all 3 rooms aside by side. The hotel is also very well located with direct entrance to the garden mall. Mid valley mall is linked by a bridge at level 2. The size of the room is good. But we realised the maintenence of the room isn't very well done. The Floor tile of the shower is already loose and will move when stepped on. The bathtub sink can't be released for the water. The room wall is stained with some red marks. Overall it's still a good stay

Room tip: If driving, parked at zone u near the premium area for easy access to the hotel. Hotel located at level G. If parked at zone B look for pillars B36. Or B32-34
