Loved every minute at this hotel. Breakfast buffet was wonderful. If you can, stay at the club level which makes your stay that much better. Pool was nice. Stayed in 1603 which is THE BEST ROOM EVER!!! Easy to get a cab to the airport. Had a nice and relaxing stay.

Room Tip: 1603 is a great room

What a fabulous hotel, staff at the hotel could not do enough for you, very helpful and greeted you with hello every time they saw you.

Executive room was spacious with a bed big enough to fit 4. Bathroom lovely with excellent shower.

Breakfast could get busy, but catered for all nationalities with fresh food being constantly brought out,

Hotel is ideally situated to see the KL Tower and Petronas Twin Towers as both sites are within walking distance, also ideally placed for the Hop On Hop Off bus service.

If we were to return to KL, would not hesitate to book this hotel again.

So constantly fretting over whether to book at the Grand Hyatt or Mandarin Oriental or The Shangri La we decided to go with the latter and chose a horizon executive room with breakfast included.

The check in process was quick and seamless and we were in our room very quickly.

The room was well portioned and the king size bed was a dream to sleep in. One of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in.

The rooms amenities were lovely and the guides included on what the hotel recommended was a lovely touch. The fresh plate of fruits daily was a nice selection of local fruits which were very enjoyable. The views from the room were also nice but i believe the views were spoilt by all the high rise buildings surrounding the hotel.

As per the horizon room we got access to the lounge where you could have breakfast if you wanted. This also included afternoon tea between 3-5 and cocktails between 5-7.

The hotel is located very close to a lot of the major attractions and are all within walking distance especially the KL Tower, Jalan Alor, pavilion shopping centre and the Petronas Towers.

Transport links are great as well with the mono rail station a few minutes walk away.

The hotel lobby is also a lovely place to sit and idle away the time.

If you are coming to Kuala Lumpur I would definitely advise that you download either the über or grab taxi apps. They are significantly cheaper than the normal metered taxis.

I have travelled to KL many times and always on my return I love to stay at the Shangri La. For some strange reason, the staff always greet you as if they know you. The training for all of the staff members is incredible. Great food outlets and the breakfast in the Lemon Garden is a MUST. You can eat your way around the world, all freshly made and prepared. OK this isnt a cheap place, but sometimes you need to spoil yourself.

It was a wonder trip for me I was so happy with the front desk staff who check me in and the system do not got my break fast I was talk to front desk lady she was assistant me to the restaurant . Thank Shangri-La hotel Kuala Lumpur for all this keep it up will stay again with you
