The hotel is a design hotel. Nice, bright, modern decorated rooms. Glass wall between living room and bathroom. High standard bed linen. Nice views at least if you manage to get a Petronas Tower view. About 5-10 minutes walk to Petronas twin towers, metro and skytrain stations (walking in KL isn't very easy, because there are only narrow pavements in town and very busy traffic with only few rules). Excellent breakfast. Also very good meals in restaurants, but very expensive. The hotel is between a busy motorway and street; if you have difficulties to sleep: take earplugs with you.
For the first trip to KL it was nice to see the Petronas twin towers from you window. Thanks again for the staff to arrange the view and room according to my wishes. But there is no nightlife around the hotel. If you would like to stay near bars, restaurants and have real fun, Bukit Bintang area is the place. Would I stay again in Maya? Definitely yes, if I look just for a nice hotel. If I also look for nightlife: perhaps yes, because it is only two skytrain stations to Bukit Bintang.
