The hotel is a design hotel. Nice, bright, modern decorated rooms. Glass wall between living room and bathroom. High standard bed linen. Nice views at least if you manage to get a Petronas Tower view. About 5-10 minutes walk to Petronas twin towers, metro and skytrain stations (walking in KL isn't very easy, because there are only narrow pavements in town and very busy traffic with only few rules). Excellent breakfast. Also very good meals in restaurants, but very expensive. The hotel is between a busy motorway and street; if you have difficulties to sleep: take earplugs with you.

For the first trip to KL it was nice to see the Petronas twin towers from you window. Thanks again for the staff to arrange the view and room according to my wishes. But there is no nightlife around the hotel. If you would like to stay near bars, restaurants and have real fun, Bukit Bintang area is the place. Would I stay again in Maya? Definitely yes, if I look just for a nice hotel. If I also look for nightlife: perhaps yes, because it is only two skytrain stations to Bukit Bintang.

We stay here again for this year Valentines. Honestly, this property really have the potential to become one of the top hotels in KL, even to be known worldwide for its architecture and design, but sadly the customer service which I've experience for the second time ruins it all.

As my last review, no one reach to my call when I wanted to ask for a DVD and a cocktail for the evening, this time round the person in reception area couldn't attend to me when I ask him to bring me a cocktail to my room and he kinda push things over to the bar and ask me to order from there. In which most 5 stars hotel will attend to you no matter what for a proper customer service.

Funny thing also, there's a membership for this hotel and mine is declined with no reasons. It's really upsetting as no hotels which I've applied for membership had declined my request for membership.

Again, there is potential for this hotel, but no one will come back again with a poor customer service.

We got the room for an online mystery deal, and was pleasantly delighted when we found out it was Hotel Maya. For the price we paid and the quality received, it was an extremely good deal !
The location is very good - opposite to Zouk, 5 mins walk across the road to the Petronas Twin Towers and the KL Rapid station.
We were given a room at the corner on the top floor, and a special mention would be the recline chair-bed in the room which my partner loves, with views out to the Towers. Also, we were won over by the Nespresso machine in the room. The bathroom is definitely not suitable for friends and/or family traveling together.
On the 13th Level, the Sky Lounge does provide unforgettable views over to the Petronas Twin Towers at night, but another lesser mentioned view is towards the KL Tower. The pool is a tad small, but the hydrotherapy and jacuzzi jets do relaxes the tired soul. The steam bath, however, disappoints.
We arrived around 11pm and was promptly check-in, in less than 5 mins. We also asked for extension of check-out and the Manager on-duty agreed immediately. Fuss-free and friendly.
However, if you are planning on visiting the other parts of KL and on the hunt for local cuisine, there might be better options.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Twin Tower, especially on the higher floors.

We stayed here for 4 nights this month. The hotel is a large modern place close to KLCC and the Petronas Towers. Service was excellent, as were breakfasts and the room the best equipped we have seen, and in excellent condition.

The location was good for us, being near KLCC and places to eat but not that close to other attractions in KL. The heat, traffic, road systems and poor signposting makes getting around harder than most cities, in our opinion so you are reliant on taxis or public transport. Hotel is about 0.3km from nearest monorail station so not far but the heat and traffic and lousy pavements are off-putting. You need to decide where you want to be close to.

Room Tip: High up to minimise traffic and noise from club opposite. Facing the towers is pretty special.

I went to the Maya in May last year, and had been there before - the rooms are fantastic, very nice bed, very nice bathroom, very nice espresso machine. The location is great, just in front of Zouk, and walking distance to KLCC. The pool area is very nice, even though the pool is not very large (don't expect to be making laps there).

Overall, this has to be my favorite hotel in the central KL area.
