This place is signature. Delicate dumplings, succulent roasted meats, beautiful steamed fish. Don't leave without bottles of their teow chu sauces. Impeccable

Have a 7 course dinner at Ming room with a large crowd. Despite the number of pax, the food quality was pretty good. Their specialty steam rice with lap cheong was quite good.

Packed to the brink during weekends and public holidays. Suggest to reserve by calling a few days earlier to avoid disappointment. Should try the Yee Sang although the portion of the main ingredient is small reagrdless of the size you order. On Sunday, there is a live counter for addition dishes too.

We made a reservation for lunch on a Friday. It was a wise decision. When we arrived at 13:00, there was a long queue waiting. The restaurant seemed popular. We ordered a wide selection of dim sum. Service was fast. The first dishes to arrive were custard bun and fried yam. The former was good when eaten hot. Just a little bit too sweet. The latter lacked of yam taste. I would prefer more yam since I like yam. Chee cheong fun (flat noodle with prawn and pork) was average. The chilli that accompanies the flat noodle wasn't tasty. Fish porridge was bland with a hint of fishy taste. The century egg porridge fared better.

As for the steamed dishes, they were mostly disappointing. The imperial prawn dumpling and the scallop dumping were bland. The skin of the dumpling was also thicker than usual. As for the siew mai, the pork was not cooked. We had to send it back to the kitchen. The pork ribs were also uncooked. We ended up cancelling the dish as we didn't want to wait anymore. Of all the dishes, the char siew pau was probably the tastiest.

In term of service, I think they did a good job. Staff were fast and attentive in ensuring that our tea cups are constantly refilled. They were patient with us when we wanted to order for takeaway. The lady who brought us the char siew pau gave us tips on how to keep the bun in the fridge and then steaming the buns for consumption later.

Thank phik
