There is a lot to see and quite learned, like the V & A in London. Reasonable price and charming staff. Photography allowed without flash. Smart cafe and loos.

Time well spent learning about art and the dissemination of ideas for hundreds of years. Contemporary art and craft (textiles) exhibits are especially worth seeing.

This place has it all - displays on Islamic architecture, glassware, jewelry, clothing, coins, ceramics, paintings, rugs... as well as special exhibitions on Muslims in Australia and bookbinding.

Fascinating for a westerner like me to see the models of the great mosques and some explanation of the art and illustrations of the holy texts. This is housed in a wonderful structure and well worth the entrance fee.
