Today, I just from a 1 night stay at the Hilton KL.
Up until check-in yesterday afternoon, I had been fuming because of a painful booking process which, I now believe, was a Hilton IT glitch and not something the Hilton KL was responsible for. But it made my Hilton Premium Reward booking the most painful booking of all times since I had to cancel the reservations 4 times (due to Hilton wanting to charge me points PLUS the full, flexible rate (BAR)). In the end, I did not receive any helpful support from neither the Hilton KL nor the Hilton Diamond hotline so that in the end I had to make a points + cash reservation that I didn´t want in the first place just to avoid the IT glitch that they were responsible for. So that´s 0 star for the booking process.
But rant over, now to the actual on the ground experience:
As others have mentioned numerous times the location at KL Sentral is great and very convenient for a short stopover in KUL. The property is well maintained and the Executive rooms are spacious, clean and really nice.
The only slight negative for me personally was that despite being on the 30th floor I found the noise from the surrounding streets/highways quite disturbing. Once I woke up in the middle of the night I had difficulties falling back to sleep again because of that noise. But then again, I am very sensitive to noise so the issue of noise might be not an issue at all for you, the reader.
But rather than repeating all the positives that previous reviewers have commented upon already, I would like to take this opportunity to say a special thank you to Harvin and his team in the Executive Lounge. I made an effort to find out the names of those working that evening so I´d like to mention Harvin, Akmal, Nazirul, Satar and Sherwin (I hope I didn´t forget anyone and have all the names spelled correctly). They were quick in serving the guests and they had a very good attention to detail which made staying in the Lounge a very pleasant experience Probably the best team effort I´ve ever experienced in a Hilton Exec Lounge. And I´ve been to many! :-) So, to Harvin and the team: Thank you!
