I would not say this consider terrible but poor. Is so unfair for outstation customers who try to do booking but unfortunately fully booked and being asked to try walk in because of few tables are for walk in. Meaning that you are asking us travel all the way from outstation just for "try luck", but in fact u have tables for confirmed "wanted to visit" like us but you don't want to entertain. What kind of business thinking or mindset.

This is not much more than the lobby lounge, but it is so conveniently located, and comfortable for business. I use this place a lot, and I really like it. Try their skinny cappuccinos, or their English Breakfast tea. For food, I like the mixed satay, or the sweet & sour prawns on rice! They have lots of small plates, just right for a quick business lunch! Sit in the corner by the garden, or if you like al fresco, sit outside! This is convenient, sophisticated and classy. Get down and support them!

Although we didn't stay at the Mandarin Oriental during our stay in Kuala Lumpur, we reserved tea time through our hotel which was just next door. Three things make Lounge on the Park stand out from among its competitors.

1. Location and ambiance. The interior provides a classic feel harmoniously mixing Asian and European elements from a time gone by without feeling dated. The lighting is expertly subdued without feeling dark and provides a nice contrast with the bright greenery from the windows facing the park in the back. There is ample space between tables so that the lounge doesn't feel cramped.

2. The tea service offers a nice variety and, most importantly, highlights local Malaysian tastes and ingredients. Our time in Malaysia was limited and naturally we wanted to experience local tastes and elements that we can't experience at home. The Lounge on the Park did not disappoint. Each item on the tea tray highlighted a different Malaysian treat and our taste buds were pleasantly surprised again and again.

3. The staff were helpful, accommodating, friendly (and stylishly dressed as well). If I lived in KL I'd probably become a regular here just to get to know some of these charming individuals better.

Is there anything that needs improving? Hmmm, that's a hard one, but if pressed to come up with something, perhaps the tables need to be a bit bigger. the two of us each ordered a tea stand and it took quite a bit of arranging to fit both stands and tea/coffee, etc. on one table.

Next time I come to KL, this place will definitely be on my list of places to drop by again.

Tea time starts from 2:30. I definitely recommend making reservations ahead of time like we did.

The lounge is located on the ground floor, within easy walking distance from KLCC Carpark. The decor is classy but the ambience is relaxing. We ordered tea set for two.The staff was always attentive and the service was impeccable. The French Earl Grey was delicate and smooth while the selection of chocolate and pastries were delectable. I particularly liked the macarons and fresh lemon curd with scones. Rm130++ for 2. Good Value. Highly recommended!
