A perfect location to see the older side of Manila including Rizal Park and Intramoros. The hotel is magnificent with decor reminiscent of pre war beauty. McArthur adopted the place as his residence. An excellent experience.

Room Tip: Look for view of the pool, which is also a view of the port beyond

Beautiful hotel, love the old vibe. Spacious rooms, very clean. Lots of breakfast options even for my baby. Friendly staff.

5-star amenities. Couldn't resist to take home the stationaries with insignia.

Room Tip: Get rooms facing the bay. Aside from sunset, you can see up to the MOA ferris wheel at night.

This hotel is beautiful and the buffet breakfast was amazing. However don't book through a third party because any problems that occur you have to pay extra for. They didn't offer us anything for a problem that occured through their system and the third party.

Absolutely ridiculous that we had to pay to make an international phone call as well to find that it was their fault. Also wasting two hours for the problem to be sorted out while standing and not being offered anything to drink.

Our parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last June and my sisters paid for few days accommodation here as the church where my parents chose to have their wedding vows renewed is far from where we now live.

I'd say the service is still remarkable (though it took a while I think more than 30 minutes for our other luggage from the wedding to be brought upstairs), the hotel is old but doesn't smell it and rooms looked classic but well-maintained (I've been to newer hotels and the smell of AC was not clean). One of the floors was also undergoing renovation that time but repairs didn't seem to disturb the occupants and we rested well. Buffet breakfast is mix of different cuisines which can cater to different people. I didn't check the pool area but rather explored the beautiful lobby and enjoyed good music.

Price is also quite affordable, not as expensive as we thought given its popularity.

1. Insensitive room card and insensitive elevator. Better change an elevator or change a card in order to get back to your room.

2. Inexperienced house cleansing service. Changed bed sheets but took away my sleeping wear. Supply body lotions that I did not use but missed replacing empty shower gel/ shampoo/conditioner. Empty the trash bins but did not vacuum clean the carpet with falling leave...

3. Left several messages to inquire for my missing sleeping wear, no response for 2 days, and suddenly my sleeping wear appeared unfolded but open up next to the TV closet. No note left, no gesture apology from the hotel staff, nothing.

4. Organised business event in a venue in the Manila Hotel. Inquiring 3 times for a reminder call when the venue is set, yes, ma'am they said, but never made the call.

5. Beautiful facilities with a lot of room to improve on it's services.
