For some people, shopping is their means of relaxation if you live in the city but don't want to travel out of town or out of the country. Others, eating in a good restaurant, having coffee with friends, or watching an interesting movie with family, friend, or with a special someone.

I do that also but my ultimate form of relaxation is finding a decent hotel to stay just for a night and do nothing but eat, sleep, drink (alcohol), and maximize the amenities that goes with the package.

I have been doing this for a long time now and this time I have picked Eastwood Richmonde Hotel. Actually, I was lucky to avail their promo. When I checked the rates now, an overnight stay in their Standard Room costs 4k plus, plus. When I went there last year, I only spent P3,500 for that same room including breakfast buffet for two, use of gym and swimming pool.

The hotel was beautiful. All their staff were courteous and very accommodating. If you'll be bringing a car, you can avail free parking. The hotel has an entrance connected to the Eastwood Mall similar to what Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza with Robinson's Galleria.

The Standard Room was pretty spacious. It's clean. The bed is very comfortable. The room has an LCD T.V. mounted on the wall and with cable. They also have DVD player installed.

The bathroom was elegant. It has hot and cold water, shower, and bath tub. It was like living in a different country. Everything was provided. Enough pillows, toiletries, and towels.

The Breakfast Buffet that comes with the accommodation was held in Eastwood Cafe. The food was delicious. The choices weren't that plenty but the bread selection was delicious. From simple bread like loaf and pandesal to muffin, danish and croissants.

They have all sorts of food from different countries. They have Filipino dishes (of course), Chinese Cuisine, and American selection. They have all sorts of cheese and cold cuts. They serve soup, cereal, and oatmeal. There is actually nothing else that you need to have a complete breakfast. Everything was provided. Unlimited brewed coffee, fresh juices, and milk.

Every cent was worth spending here in Eastwood Richmonde Hotel. So if you are the type of person that is willing to spend on elegant hotels, then I recommend Eastwood Richmonde Hotel because the location is also perfect if you wish to go to other famous places outside Eastwood City.

Good location. Hallways smell. Room is OK. Just doesn't have a good feeling about this hotel.
We were there for a wedding. I guess it's ok for business purposes but you wouldn't holiday here.

Check was quick and easy. The hotel seamed full as we had got the last three rooms. Which in the end a couple of us had single beds - a little frustrating. Hotel is in a good safe location. Guards man the entrance to the area which has a range of bars and restaurants to go to. You can enjoy your food and beer and not have to worry about your wallet being swiped.

Breakfast was pretty poor but they way I felt that morning I wasn't that bothered!

Checking out took a while which is always frustrating.

Can't help but thinking you'd be better in the Shangri La or other mainstream exclusive hotel more in the centre of town.

Comfy beds though. Aircon a little noisy in the room.

Booked a Deluxe King room for me and my wife as a pre-Valentine celebration... We checked in by 1PM and the room was ready, and they got us a corner room at the highest possible floor (3808) which has two sides of windows, and a bigger room size than other deluxe rooms. The room was really spacious and the bathroom was huge, complete with all needed amenities. LCD TV was big as well, 37-40" we think, room had three phones, an iPod dock, and the aircon was pretty much quiet.

The hotel is right next to the Eastwood Mall so it is very convenient to shop and eat around. Hotel staff are all friendly and very accommodating. We requested for additional bottle of water and ice bucket and within 2-3 minutes, someone delivered them already. Breakfast was extensive and had everything we desired. Check-out was relatively fast and also got complimentary parking.

For PHP4,XXX, our stay was totally worth it! Sure to be back this year!

Room Tip: Corner rooms in the higher floors have amazing views... we stayed in 3808 and it couldn't get any better!

We stayed one weekend in this hotel to celebrate my recent promotion and for some well-deserved family bonding time. We chose this hotel because is located within Eastwood City, a very upbeat place with its array of malls, a good selection of shops and restaurants, and some outdoor space where the kids can enjoy running around while viewing some attractions like the dancing fountains and some costumed mimes entertaining the crowd.

Checking in at the hotel tested my patience as there was only one front desk staff attending to about five guests who were either checking in or checking out, and each guest took not less than five minutes to be processed. Nonetheless, the guard at the entrance was more than accommodating and he even assisted us with our luggage as we alighted from our vehicle.

The room they assigned to us was just about the size that we wanted with a queen-sized bed, a desk and chair, big LCD TV and three telephone units (one at the desk, one at bedside, and another inside the bathroom). The closet had just enough clothes hangers and a security safe with combination lock to secure our belongings. The bathroom had the usual towels and toiletries and a glass wall separated the bathroom from the bedroom (a screen can be lowered to offer some privacy to the bathroom user). Internet access came with a fee so that was a bummer for us. A split-type air conditioning unit with remote control provided ample control to the room environment.

The pool area at the top floor was smallish and there is no wading area for toddlers and small children, although one can swim laps if the pool is not crowded. A gym and spa is also located at the same floor for those who want to work out or those who want to get some steam.

Buffet breakfast was good with varied food choices that will delight the stomach.

The split-type air conditioning in the room they assigned to us (which was located above the desk) was acting up during our stay and dripped water on my wife's laptop while we were sleeping. Good thing the laptop cover was closed and no damage was done. Coming back into the room after breakfast the nightmare started - the A/C unit started spewing ice and dirty water onto the desk and onto the carpet and we called up the front desk to complain.

To give credit to the hotel, the front desk manager promptly came up to the room along with a maintenance crew to check on the A/C unit. Since it will take time to repair/clean the unit the front desk manager offered us another room (with room upgrade!) plus late check out at 6PM so that we can enjoy the hotel facilities more.

So despite this minor inconvenience, thank you to the front desk manager and to the hotel staff for your very kind accommodation, for the room upgrade and for the late check-out. (But please initiate some regular preventive maintenance on your A/C units to avoid inconvenience on your other guests and add more front desk staff to attend to the guests checking in and out.)

Room Tip: Request for a room with a view of the dancing fountain area

We are glad that you chose to stay with us to celebrate your promotion and to spend quality time with your family. Although you experienced inconveniences during your stay, we are very grateful that it did not put a damper on your mini vacation. Rest assured that we are currently taking steps to resolve the issues with our manning at the Front Desk and more importantly, the problem you experienced with your room’s A/C unit.

Thank you for your review and we look forward to welcoming you back!
