I would not recommend the Stratford Inn. While well-located, we had several problems. The first was that the rollaway bed we requested had drugs under the mattress! (And the sheet and blanket looked rather past their prime.) One of the other mattresses was lumpy. The room was rather dingy and the maid did not clean it--simply replaced the towels. The breakfast could use some work; same thing everyday--yogurt, oatmeal and bagels and very little fruit. We were paying more than $200/night for a double room (not including taxes) and felt overcharged.

We apologize for not exceeding your expectations. We take pride in providing 5 star customer service and hospital clean rooms.

Your unfortunate experience with the roll-away bed is the first of its kind and we will use this as an example of checking all the ins and outs when processing our roll-away beds. Upon further investigation, the bag you found contained vitamin B-3 which comes in a clear capsule with white power. The bag was stuck under the metal frame of the bed, wedged in between the mattress. All the blankets and sheets were freshly laundered and clean. Again, we are very sorry for this unfortunate experience.

We hope that you will give us another chance to exceed your expectations. Please email or call us to discuss this further and we will set you up with our best rate possible.

Wonderful, Elizabethan-themed hotel - great place to stay for Oregon Shakes. Easily within walking distance of the three stages with plenty of restaurants in between. Maybe a five-minute walk? Also, fun to see posters from previous years framed in the hallways and cards in the lobby to read what other guests have thought of that year's plays.

The Stratford Inn is our home away from home when we visit Ashland, Oregon. We have stayed at other locations, and there were issues with noise, comfort or price. Stratford Inn provides a comfortable place to go after theater and dining. The location across from Safeway makes it convenient to stock up on snacks. The pool is brisk but glorious.

The hotel offered comfort, quietude, and convenience. Short walk downtown to the restaurants and plays. Coffee shop on site and Safeway next door. Swimming pool and spa were well maintained and uncrowded--We had a great stay.

Stayed here for two weekend nights. The hotel is in a great location for accessing downtown Ashland. The Stratford Inn is a nice option for anyone attending the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

Pros:
The room was clean.
Good location

Cons:
Lackluster continental breakfast. No eggs or bacon.
Could hear people going up and down the stairs.

Thank you for choosing the Stratford Inn for your recent trip to Ashland.

In an attempt to meet the needs of all of our guests, we recently changed our breakfast options. We now offer hot steel cut oats, yogurt (plain & vanilla), a variety of toppings (Oregon grown blueberries, cran-raisins, granola, raisins, coconut flakes, pumpkin seeds, brown sugar, almonds) bagels, organic whole grain bread, donuts, cold cereal, fruit, juice, coffee and tea.

Thank you for your feedback. We greatly appreciate your patronage.
