Simply put, this was one of my favorite hotels in a long time. Lobby and common areas were uniquely designed and furnished. The room itself was quiet, spacious, and luxurious. I slept like a baby. Incredible experience!

The rooms were a wonderful size to spread out and be comfortable, with home amenities (kitchen, dining table, etc). Everyone who worked there was so welcoming and willing to help us with anything we needed. The decor used throughout the property was absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend! The only thing we could have asked for was more comfortable seating in our room.

The trick is to get furniture made to commercial specs but also feel very comfortable. We'll work harder next time and keep improving.
We stayed 4 nights in a studio room at Colton House & were quite impressed with this property. Beautiful common areas, professionally decorated, clean room, great shower & comfortable bed. The small kitchenette really came in handy. Personnel were helpful & courteous. We visited Simona’s twice for drinks & sat on the beautiful patio once & really enjoyed both visits. A well-run property indeed & we would definitely stay again.

Horrible service.
We had some problems due to the extreme weather - alarms during the night and no hot water to shower. We understood that it was not the hotel's fault, but we think we shouldn’t have to pay the full price because we hadn’t gotten the experience that we paid for.
Instead of trying to make our experience better, the manager argued with us and claimed that the water was warm enough, even though he even didn’t come to check it out!
We didn’t get any compensation for this bad experience. It’s a shame that this is how you treat your guests.
I'm sorry to read this review. I'll work with the Management team to reach out directly and attempt to explain what happened in more detail. We did have 2 water lines in the garage burst on the 23rd which did lead to some temporary issues with the hot water system on Christmas Eve (it was very difficult to get the system fixed over Christmas!). We also had a sprinkler line burst in the garage which led to the alarms. We worked quickly with the fire department and our sprinkler service team to make sure the building was safe and to fix the alarms.
Colton House is an exceptional hotel w/ fantastic style, amenities, and rooms. We took a staycation and invited friends to their cafe / bar, Simona’s. The bartender makes a mean hot cocoa and mezcal Negroni. The shower might be the best one I’ve ever had in a hotel. Staff is warm and personable. In my opinion, this is one of the top hotels in Austin.
