Wish I could give 3.5 stars. I was in town for a conference and all the hotels downtown were sold out. This was one of the few hotels that was still available and in a reasonable distance to convention center. Everyone was very nice and courteous and attentive. The reason for the three stars is because of the condition of the hotel. It's an older hotel so there were some cosmetic issues. The ceiling in the bathroom was flaking, some minor holes in the curtains, the carpet is slightly lumpy. Service was good. Although I did get a towel with dried blood on it (not as gross as it sounds). I got a room that was at the end of the hall. The window faces a 6 ft fence. So no view other than the fence and watching the hotel staff coming in and out of the back entrance. The fence also minimized sunlight and was next to the inside hotel staff area so somewhat noisy with them coming in and out. But I was only there for two nights so I wasn't too bothered. Still a nice hotel and I would stay again.
Not specific to this hotel but in general: I don't know who designs some of these hotels but making the bathroom doors so close that they bang against each other when trying to open is really annoying.
