We only stayed two night. Check in Was easy and the staff was very helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable.
The hotel provides transportation to the train station so it was great.
the problem was with parking as they had some work going on so made it hard.
The hotel and staff were great so would always go back to stay.

The shuttle service is outstanding. What the hotel lacks in location, it more than makes up for it with their accommodating transportation. Take it to the closest Metro Stop (Eisenhower), then go in to D.C. or go one stop and get off at the King St. Stop, walk down the stairs and get on a free trolley that goes up and down King St. in Old Alexandria. The Metro stop is a little over a half mile away. You can walk it but save your legs for touring D.C. Part of the walk is up hill, over a bridge. There are concrete barriers between the road and the sidewalk. They will also take you to reasonably close restaurants (Delias). The Bistro Restaurant in the hotel is a little high in price but the food is very good (try the French Toast). There is plenty of seating for groups just wanting to talk. The Starbucks has more than just coffee but not the complete drink menu of a regular Starbucks. All the employees were terrific. The hotel and rooms were clean and modern. The area is attractive and safe. Remember, the parking is free.

Marriott Brand of hotels are my favorite. From the linens, to the bedding to the room layout. This hotel was top notch. Close to the Metro, easy to get around in Old Town and complimentary shuttle, bonus. Erica who runs the front desk is a wealth of knowledge! Marriott if you're listening, keep Erica happy; good help like her is hard to find.

We only stayed one night but the check in as easy, rooms were clean and comfortable, and aside from the ice machine, it was pretty quiet. We didn't stay to eat because we had a Pentagon tour very early but check out was a breeze!

A quick overnight stay brought us to this hotel where we received a courteous and prompt greeting and check-in. The room was adequate, however the refrigerator vibrated in the cabinet and made an annoying sound. There is a Bistro Cafe with Starbucks for those that crave that coffee. Note: Starbucks does NOT honor their own gift cards here. And, quite frankly, that's just not right. I was a bit surprised that the cost of the food was a little steep. The people ahead of me ordered two french toast breakfasts and had 2 milks and cost over $35! This is a Courtyard, not a high-end eatery! A beer from the market by the front desk costs $7! All I can say is wow about those prices. Again, at a Courtyard!

Management response:Responded 31 July 2017

Hello Diane R,

Thank you for sharing your experience at our hotel. We are sorry to hear about the issues with your stay. We will be sure to have our Engineering team look into the noisy refrigerator. In regards to the Bistro, I agree that Starbucks gift cards should be accepted. Hopefully that is something that will be added in the near future. As for pricing, every Courtyard hotel has guidelines for this, which we follow as part of the standards set for us.

Hopefully, we will have another opportunity to better serve you on a future visit.
