Excelente hotel. Preço justo. Café da manhã muito bom. Funcionários do hotel muito profissionais.
Excellent. Fair price. Very good breakfast. Employees of the hotel very professional.
The location is very central, close to a shopping mall. I recommend it for leisure or business trip.

Hotel is horrible, the check-in process is a joke, my friend had to fight to get his key after hotel mysteriously lost reservation. Elevators are busy, 1 broken, system in the elevator is so bad you press a button and it wont turn on its light so you dont know whether is pushed or not. The breakfast which is pushed to you during checkin is very bad, fruits are bad, eggs bad and if you order omelete will take 30min, coffee is horrible too. The room I got (9th floor) had horrible internet coverage couldnt work or study from my room. The room smells like smoke, or dirty socks, I can't tell. The carpet looks dirty. There is no iron for you to look good in your shirts, and the hairdryer would need to pause after heating (which is supposedly is main function anyways). I ordered a salad for dinner 8pm and it's 9:15 and nothing of it, yet. I called already they said they would "put pressure" and nothing so far... dont expect a Tip for sure! Location is all right, there is a mall across the street - but wait, it's a decoration mall ;) so apart from a nice restaurant and small insignificant food court, that's it for a traveller... Go find something better elsewhere, I say!!!

Room tip: Ask for a clean one, good internet reception, and a discount, cause this is a bad hotel.

I am DONE with Accor Hotels. It isn't just this property- every single one of these dumps I've stayed in, in South America, and beyond… has been simply poor.

This hotel is allegedly one of the best in Brazil's capital, which is why I booked it.

I arrived to this hotel at 8am, as my overseas flight arrived (as always) into Brasília in the early morning. Upon arrival to the hotel, I was told that the night prior was booked, and that there was nothing currently available. Fair enough, it's a common thing. The "gent" who helped me, Jean, then offered me several different (paid) options to check in right then... or the option to check in late afternoon for free. This guy stonewalled me, and had me paying 3 times the price I had already paid for my 4-day stay previously paid through Hotels.com. I decamped to the hotel lobby, and asked to be able to connect to the property’s WiFi. He said, and I quote: “when you make a choice to check in, we will make a choice to allow you to connect to our network.”

I bullied a poor events girl to give me the public code to the WiFi, and I’m not proud of it, but she was the one who put me in contact with the GM of the property: Adriana Lima

Bear in mind, during the time I was negotiating with Jean, at least 20 people had checked out using both the front desk, and the bellboys, which lead me to think: How long does a room take to turn over? 30 mins? 1hr?

I finally decided to decamp to the lobby and consider my options, during which time I contacted Hotels.com, who originally booked the property. After speaking to several representatives of Hotels.com, who had in turn spoken to management of Grand Mercure Eixo Monumental, it was found that I should be able to check in. I eventually bullied my way to speak to the GM of the hotel, Adriana Lima.

Miss Lima was polite and concerned, and got me checked in, but at this point, my confidence was lost.

WHY does one have to push and shove and make a scene to speak to the GM of the hotel in order to not get scammed into a front desk Caper?!?

I've now had a $hitty experience with this property, the Sofitel Florianópolis, the Mercure Centro Florianópolis, and several other South American Accor properties. Who wants to spend money with a company who clearly doesn't give a $hit about it's clients?!!??

Room tip: Do not book this dump.
