Porto Canoas has a great location absolutely adjacent to the Brasil side of the falls, and it also offers a plentiful buffet with huge variety. The emphasis though is on something for everyone (and plenty of it), not on quality food. Many dishes were quite bland, and most of the hot offerings were only just warm despite being in bain marie's. We initially tried eating outside on the inviting deck overlooking the river/falls, but were challenged by the wasps attracted by the food. Inside was better and the live music provided by a solo male singer was very good. Drink prices were very reasonable for a touristy location, but the range fairly limited. We assumed paying by credit card would be acceptable, but our credit card was declined despite it being perfectly good everywhere else in over a month in Sth America. In all fairness the staff were very good and eventually resolved the problem, although by then we had reached the car park in search of a back up credit card. So, while we might query their technology, there is no doubt that you will find a huge quantity (perhaps not quality) of food to suit at Porto Canoas in a very spectacular location indeed.
