Thank you for a wonderful stay and for the excellent hospitality! All the staff, without exception, were so kind and caring, and very attentive to our needs. The breakfast was amazing and the location just perfect. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The views from the terrace pool and restaurant were breathtaking, and the service at the beach was great. Highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely be back!

Stayed three nights at this hotel. We arrived early and they were kind enough to give us a room even though it wasn’t check in time yet. We had a great view of Copacabana beach though it was raining when we arrived.
Lovely modern room with all the facilities like hair dryer, safe, toiletries, bathrobe and slippers( though there was only one for the two of us), free bottle of 1.5 litre water which they replenished everyday. Only thing to beware is that they charge for the coffee at R$7.50 plus tax per capsule.
Good breakfast with lots of fruit, cakes, cold meats, smoked salmon, cheeses as well as the hot buffet and made to order eggs. Staff are very attentive
We didn’t have dinner here so can’t comment on the food.
The roof top bar has great views of the beach as well as the favela behind the hotel.
Definitely recommended

Great location on Copacabana,great welcome and quick check in at 10pm although check out was bad, took 15mins wait to drop of cards and pay for balance.

Booked sea view rooms but was put in the 3rd floor. Could hear larger vehicles from the room.asked to change but they did not have any rooms in that class-tried again the next day but got a very non committal answer so stopped trying.

Positives:
Sky pool and views
Beach chairs, umbrellas and towels provided at their beach stall.
Breakfast
Brazilian welcome drink

Negatives:
Noise from traffic at lower floors including sirens from emergency vehicles driving past in the middle of the night
Slamming doors- to do with the way the room doors are built
Noise from people chatting in the corridor
Check out was too long

First,Thank You for your review at Trip Advisor! Your feedback is very important to us. It helps us to correct any faults and implement improvements. I honestly did not understand the "street noise". Our windows have double glazing and it is virtually impossible to hear anything from outside the hotel. This is only possible if the window is left open. I apologize if we have not been able to meet the room change for another on higher floors, however, the months of October and November are traditionally of very high occupations. I think the check-out delay was motivated by a large number of people leaving at the same time. However, we are already studying how to perform an "express check out" at our hotel.Once again I would like to Thank You for choosing the Miramar Hotel for your stay in Rio de Janeiro. We hope to see you again.

I visited Miramar with my husband in September for our honeymoon. I only found out we were visiting Rio at the airport, so arriving at such a lovely hotel on top of everything was the cherry on the cake. We were greeted with bubbles after our 11hr flight from London, and staff were friendly and welcoming. If I had to be picky, it would have been a nice extra touch if the room was decorated for honeymooners - any excuse to prolong the wedding celebrations. Breakfast included a variety of pastries, cereal, eggs and crepes, with gluten-free options too. The catering staff were always so lovely and attentive. Our room was on floor 8 of 16 and we had a stunning view of Copacabana beach. There is a jacuzzi in each room, although ours didn't work, but maintenance were on hand to help with it. We first stayed at the hotel for 4 nights, and then went on to Buzios for 3 nights and then returned to Miramar. We coincidentally had the same room as before, and still had issues with the jacuzzi but we were able to make do. The hotel is in a great location (by postal 5) and has a great pool, sauna, gym and bar upstairs for those needing to chill out. Here you have views of Copacabana beach, the favela and Sugar Loaf mountain. Along Copacabana beach you have an array of small snack bars, and for those wanting to hit the beach, staff are on hand with loungers.
Overall, we both had an amazing time at Miramar and haven't stopped recommending it to our family and friends. I would definitely go back!

Stayed at Miramar for the first time last year (2016) for the Rio Oil and Gas conference. Came back this year due to the good memories of the hotel from last year.

The hotel has a perfect location, and clean spacious rooms. The chauffeur service offers good mobility for getting around town for meetings and business. This is also a very affordable option which was also used for sightseeing. The rooftop bar is a perfect location for relaxing after a busy day.

Overall very satisfied with the stay and will come back when next in Rio.
