I stayed at this hotel in 2011 when I went to Rio de Janeiro for training in weighing devices at INMETRO. The hotel was not directly on the Copacabana beach but it was just one block away. The rooms were large and snacks were replenished once you took them. However, the same snacks can be purchased from a nearby supermarket a few blocks away at half the price or less.

You could get partial views of the Copacabana beach from the room I was in but there are buildings that prevented guests from getting a clear view. Guests could still enjoy the cool sea breeze from their rooms even though the hotel was not directly on the beach.

The breakfast that was provided was great. There were many fruits available and I had many options for the main course for breakfast as well. There were many deserts as well but my vegetarian lifestyle prevented me from enjoying these benefits.

The staff were friendly and provided me with the required updates that I needed so that my friend and I could get to our training on time. The staff also assisted us to make the trip to the Corcovado Christ the Redeemer Statue. This is a trip that must be taken when visiting Rio de Janeiro. A trip to Sugarloaf Mountain may also be very wise. However, it would be best to do both trips on a day when the sky is clear otherwise the views may not be as great as they could be.

When visiting this part of the world it would be wise to check the season as well because the seasons in South-America are different from North-America. Additionally, be aware that there are many pick-pockets along the Copacabana beach. Hold on to your belongings and always check around your surroundings.

Room Tip: If you get room closer to main road you may still be able to enjoy partial views of Copacabana beach...

his is one of those hotels that may not strike you for anything in particular, but simply leave you satisfied and looking forward to go back. I stayed there with my boyfriend while on a business trip, and we would definitely stay again. Our room was spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the staff was always prompt and attentive. The buffet breakfast is very good and really helps to start the day well before long hours of business meetings. And the neighborhood has a lot to offer in terms of restaurants, stores, etc. We were impressed by the quick response of the room service staff, that was called to fix a little mix-up with the beds at our arrival late at night. The only part of the experience that could have been better was the booking

It's a good hotel, well located and it has a great staff, very courteous. It's possible to do many things by foot and it's very near the beach. There are good restaurants nearby, a lot of stores and beautiful people.

Recently spent just over three weeks here. I used to use the hotel a few years ago and was pleased to see that it was still good and most of the staff were the same. The guys on the front desk are always smiling and very helpful as are the concierge, I don’t think I ever managed to open an elevator door myself as they are so attentive.

The rooms are a good size and the housekeeping do a good job keeping them clean, the only issue I had was they like to clean the rooms quite early and for me this meant round 10:00am, ok during the work when working but a little too early at the weekends. The air conditioning is amazing and a polar bear would feel at home in this hotel. The TV was a good size but the English speaking channels were very limited.

The Breakfast is good but repetitive, nearly the same thing every day and after 3 weeks I actually went out for breakfast towards the end but as I said it is still good with a couple of sausage dishes, bread, cold meats, fruit and cakes.

The location is good for the beach, one block back and there is a metro station about 10 minutes’ walk away where you get to anywhere from.

Pricing is reasonable for the area.
