Good location, trendy design... OK, but not enough. If you arrive earlier than 2pm you are told, regardless of availability of rooms, that if you wish to access your room earlier you have to pay more. It can be acceptable that you do not have a room guaranteed, but trying to make money on early check-ins is indeed not a nice welcome. And if, in the room, you just have nothing to wash your butt: if you do not like a bidet (but why?) you would expect at least some water flush associated to the toilet... nothing! And not even a toilet brush, so if you wish to avoid leaving a dirty toilet for the housekeeping, you need to clean by hand your toilet. And how can you serve such a bad breakfast? Not even cheese bread, which is traditional in Brazil, is edible, since it was cold on both days of my stay (on the first day they said "tomorrow we will fix it", but on the second day it was even worse. No expresso, unless you pay for it separately (and it is not even decent, so better not to pay for it). So, really not a place I would recommend.

What I liked:
- the great view, obviously because the hotel is on a famous spot
- the location, 15 mins drive from the airport, and you have great restaurants at Farani Street (just 50 meters from the hotel)
- the room comfort, I slept very well every night whatever the jetlag

Why I won't come back:
- Swimming pool open during work hours only (10am to 7pm) so wasnt able to take a well deserved swim after work. They should leave it open 24h/24 with eventually a notice to tell people that there's no supervisor out of those hours.
- Very poor minibar with lowcost products. Was expecting few famous beers in brazil such as wals or hocus pocus but ended up with overpriced heinekein. Seriously, heinekein on a five stars is a joke. The rooftop bar didnt meet my expectations as well. They should give those poor things for free and add premium products to make the difference.
- No free drinkable water in the room, it's R$7 for 33ml (it's the price of 6l on markets). Rooms are expensive for the country, so this is just taking your guests as cash cows.
- Breakfast is included but coffee is bad; and if you want an expresso you'll have to pay R$7. Hell, no unlimited expressos on a five stars??

As you have to pay for everything and everything is low quality, there are no way you can feel home. It misses first-class services and accommodations to deserve its 5 stars.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor as there are roads on bridges and you'll only see/hear cars below 4.

I book here as it was very close to a companies offices I needed to visit and it was 1 off 2 which had been suggested. On arrival booking in was OK, staff good but after being up for about 21 hours I was not at my best. Got to the room and to be honest just put bags down and went for a drink before hitting the sack. Next morning I looked around room 405 and was amazed at the state of the floor, it was at best very unsightly, dirt, maybe not but it looked like it needed a good scrubbing. Then in to the bathroom, all goo but the door stop for the bathroom door was almost centrally placed 1 foot from the shower door so when getting out if not careful you would stub your toe.
Breakfast, great, staff very attentive and friendly, views brilliant, cocktails.....
I would return, indeed hope I do, but I will 1 avoid 405 and 2 look at the room before I take it. A colleague had another room and it was brilliant, clean, no silly door stop and clean. I can recommend, leave hotel turn left at the next road turn left about 10 meters go to that bar, it was wonderful.

Room Tip: suggest not 405

Yoo2 is on a great location, the advantages of a new hotel, the room was quite big, amazing views. Staff was nice, breakfast was good, though the coffee wasn't strong enough for Brazilian standards. Having a shower in the morning was not a good idea, as it is pretty much a business hotel and it seemed that all the rooms were having a shower at the same time (cold water). The roof top is amazing, although pricy (European prices), the pool is quite small. Nice vibe and you won't find many hotels in Brazil on the same standards. Although you might not be able to book a room for a couple and a child in the same room via bookings sites, if you contact the hotel directly, they are able to help you.

The best boutique hotel in Rio. The bed linens, the mattress, the pillows.. You will sleep like a baby.

The view of the roof top bar is amazing. The food is great. This is great value for money.

Been around hotels in Rio but by far their service is amazing. Specially Reis, the receptionist, of the hotel. He gave us an amazing room in our anniversary and he was kind and warm.

Stay in hotel. There will no regrets.
