I stayed at the Transamerica Executive in Jardim during the 2014 FIFA world cup.
From the moment I arrived at the hotel, the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, answering all of my questions regarding the best restaurants, shopping, and places to watch the game.
The location is probably the best in Sao Paulo. You can walk around at any time throughout the day and night without a problem.. just don't wander too far off the populated track.
There are amazing restaurants within a 5minute walk from the hotel and the shopping is unlimited!
If you want to go to the historical centre, it is much better to taxi than to walk.. ended up in quite a sketchy area.
However, the walk to Vila Madalena was safe and a pretty awesome walk to see some of the local parts of Sao Paulo! (plus Vila Madalena is the best place to watch a Brazil game - GO!!!)
The quality of the room was excellent. Very clean and spacious!
The only issues I had was a lack of WiFi in the room which I paid for and still had terrible connection and the door lock, however the staff immediately came to my needs and helped me out.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel!!!More
