Nowhere else in town seemed to be open at 6pm. Cafe Sorbo was a cute spot for my husband and I to split a super tasty sandwich. Our limited Spanish speaking skills were not a problem. We only have one more day in town but we may end up here again because it was so good! Only thing that could have made this better was if they had beer to go with our sandwiches.

We stopped in mid afternoon for a snack, we tried to both order a sandwich and the owner told us 1 was enough, and it sure was. It was a very good sandwich and we tried to go again another day but it was just closing so we had to go else where.

It's a great place to try :)

We were pleasantly surprised to find this little place while walking around Santa Cruz in search of lunch one day. It is located above local merchants so you have to walk down a bit of a corridor and upstairs to find the entrance but the location above street level provides the visitor with a nice outdoor space for people watching out of the sun.

The portion sizes are HUGE and the server recommended that some of us maybe share an order…she was right. As many in our group were vegetarian, we were happy to see that nearly half of the menu was dedicated to vegetarian options. The food was very good.

On the downside, however, was that it took a very long time to get our food. It may have been an odd circumstance as it seemed that our server was also the chef and although we were only a group of 7, she had to turn other customers away and ask them to come back later. They must have been short staffed that day as the restaurant could easily sit around 35 people. Nevertheless, I would recommend this spot for lunch.

I came here all the time when I visited Santa Cruz. I would highly recommend Sorbo Cafe. Sorbo Cafe is warm, comfortable and has free wifi. The portion sizes are huge, which makes sharing food much more affordable (1 sandwich will feed 2 or 3 people).

A very nice coffee/sandwich shop. The proprietess was helpful and knowledgeable and we enjoyed our lunch on the balcony watching the bustle of one of Santa Cruz´s main streets below.
