My wife and I stayed here as part of a group tour.
The staff were pleasant, the hotel is modern, plain and close to town. It is located 10 to 15 minutes walk to the fortress town and to the esplanade, the ocean, shops and many food choices.
The room was an adequate size for a European hotel and modern.
Our room had a small balcony with a side ocean view.
The bathroom was modern, clean and spacious.
The real attraction of the hotel for us was its location, a short walk to the old town and overlooking the beautiful sea.
The best part of the food experience was the lovely balcony ocean view.
Although the food was ok, there was limited choice, it was repetitive and it was luke warm.

We enjoyed our time at the Liburna Hotel and Korcula in particular!

The views from the restaurant balcony are worth it alone. Food is decent without being great. The front desk could not do enough to help and it is a 10 minute walk to the old town. Rooms are comfortable if basic, we had a water view worth paying the extra for.

We would definitely go back

Myself and my husband have just returned from 8 nights at this hotel and we had a great holiday. The hotel has some real plus points but there are also some negatives too. We arrived and made our way to our room which we were surprised to learn didn’t have a balcony. We twice requested a move but as the hotel was fully booked we were told this wasn’t possible. (Not necessarily a criticism of the hotel as it was an oversight on our behalf when booking but just expected a balcony to come as standard.)

Staff were polite and helpful and the hotel was clean. The real attraction of the hotel for us was its location- a short walk to the old town and overlooking the beautiful sea.

There is a gym that guests can use in the nearby Marco Polo hotel and we made use of this several times but it needs some investment to bring it up to date and repair damp etc... very dated, dirty and damp to say the least!

The real draw back of this hotel for us though was the food. There was limited choice, it was repetitive and it was luke warm. We were half board but chose to eat out 6 nights out of 8 in the evening because it was so poor. Breakfast was passable if like us you are happy with some cereal and a bit of fruit. Luckily there is an abundance of places to eat in the old town and we enjoyed some really nice meals out but it was an added expense that weren’t expecting but we just found the evening meals at the Liburna inedible.

We had a great holiday and loved Korcula! As mentioned the hotel has some positive points but it is our opinion that it’s rating as a 4 star hotel is questionable. We have stayed in much better 4 star hotels elsewhere and even better 3 star hotels in all honesty.

Beautiful, clean hotel. Super helpful and friendly staff. Absolutely stunning views of the mainland and Korcula town. Junior suite with some sea / old town view was great. Cleaners do a lovely job. Easy and fab 5 min walk to town centre one way and around to Port 9 the other way. Korcula town is breath taking. Really convenient for booking boat trips, boat taxi drop offs, arranging car hire etc. We were bed and breakfast only and we all worked out our fave breakfast options pretty quickly. Only downside of the holiday for 4 of us was the expense of food and drink in the town. The seasonal price hike is pretty shocking so be prepared for that if you’re breakfast only. Car hire is a must to see the whole of the island which is so so pretty with some beautiful pebble coves. Lumbarda a must visit too as was Mljet National Park.
Restaurant staff (particularly Dorde / George) very warm and friendly. Reception staff all excellent and Ivana helped us greatly by recommending a fabulous eye specialist actually on the island, when husband got a really nasty corneal ulcer. Emergency unit in hospital around the corner also very helpful. There is nothing especially to do for energetic boys (ours are 12 and 10) and there were no other kids to make friends with which is what they normally like to do on holiday. However it meant we had a really lovely family time together. I would recommend the Liburna to absolutely anyone. Thank you Liburna for some fantastic memories .

Room Tip: Junior suites good for families. Rm 401 on the corner looked stunning for a couple

Very smart hotel situated close to the sea. In the distance you can see the lovely old walled town where Marco Polo was born and the Bay with plenty of Boats in all shapes and sizes. Nearby is rocky, so not ideal for children. The hotel has several sun beds you can use down by the edge of the sea and around the small round pool. Nearby a terrace to relax and have a drink or two and catch some sun. This resort is ideal for all types of water sports with plenty of boats, boards and kayaks for hire locally. The Town is easy to walk to taking about 15 minutes around the costal path with plenty of small Bars, Restaurants, shopsand lots of exploring to do around the narrow streets. The Reception & staff are very Friendly and speak good english as most locals here do to. Bar prices, like most hotels are exspensive so most people use local bars nearby (felt sorry for the barman he was bored stiff as he had little to do). The rooms are modern with a TV and Kettle but you have to supply yor own Coffee & Tea . The bed was large and comfortable. Our room had a small mini bar in. . We were given a bottle of their fine local wine on arrival .
